The respectable, centuries-old trees along the road and the sloping forests give a sense of peace – the hectic nature of the outside world slips away from you. The manor house has lost none of its beauty in the almost 100 years of its existence. The Lankhorsterkamp manor house, together with the Ossebosch manor house, was designed by the same architect in 1925 for the two daughters of the landlord of Huis Boxbergen. House Boxbergen was first mentioned in 1344 and has a rich history as a havezathe and estate in Wesepe municipality of Olst-Wijhe. The Lankhorsterkamp, now a municipal monument, was sold by the first owner in 1951 to the Burgerweeshuis and Kinderhuis in Deventer, which sold it to the current owner in 2011.
