Storybook Cabin Near Nashville
Description
Enjoy a secluded retreat at The Feathered Nest, a charming log cabin just 20 minutes shy from Downtown Nashville. Built in 1979 and situated on 15 acres of land, this traditional wood cabin provides a private oasis with sprawling views of green pastures. Surround yourself with the quaint country atmosphere without being too distant from the center of Nashville. Access to grocery stores and lovely local shops are just a 5-minute drive away. A haven for those who are seeking quiet solitude. The space The Feathered Nest features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a king-sized bed and abundant natural light with fabulous views of the fields. Bedroom 2 hosts a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a standing shower. Bedroom 3 has two twin-sized beds with a TV, perfect for entertaining young children. The corridor bathroom contains a lovely vintage claw-foot tub. The cozy living room features two deep sofas and a large picture window with stunning views. The living area adjoins with the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy an espresso coffee and lounge on the large covered back porch to appreciate the breathtaking landscape and catch a glimpse of the cows grazing. Delight in fishing or a dip in the clear, shallow water at the private creek (access must be requested in advance). The cabin is home to several chickens who reside within their own fenced area—hence the moniker The Feathered Nest. The homeowners may come to the cabin on occasion to tend to the chickens, but guests will always be notified in advance, and they will never enter the home while rented. 10 minutes to Honeysuckle Hill Farm 25 minutes to Broadway 25 minutes to East Nashville 30 minutes to Grand Ole Opry 40 minutes to Downtown Franklin Guest access Guests will require a car to access the property. Ride share is not reliably available in the area. The driveway leading to the property is gravel and could possibly have ruts and washouts from time to time depending on the rain. Although drivable by small car, guests will need to take precaution while driving up the gravel driveway. Though the home sits on 15 acres of private property, the driveway leading up the cabin is shared with a neighbor. Please do not be alarmed if you see another car pass through the gravel driveway throughout the day. Other things to note Please note that as with many log cabins, ours is located in a natural setting, which means occasional wildlife encounters are possible. To help keep the cabin cozy and inviting, we kindly ask that all food be properly stored in sealed containers, cabinets, or the refrigerator. This helps minimize the chance of attracting mice or other critters. Hunting is not permitted on the property, as it is the homeowner's wish to leave wildlife undisturbed. Fireplace shown in photo is not currently operational and cannot be used. Guests are encouraged to utilize outdoor fire pit instead.
