Set in a peaceful farm location, The Bull Pen is on the edge of the wood, overlooking the pond. It is recently converted, upcycling wherever possible. The farm includes award-winning ancient woodland run as a nature reserve - great for a quiet weekend away, or a longer rural retreat. Highlights include butterflies, bluebells and nightingales in season. The village of Barcombe is within walking distance and Lewes and the South Downs are a short drive away. The space There is an open plan living area and kitchen, a twin bedroom and a double room with views over the pond. There is a log burner for winter evenings. From the back of the property you can walk straight into the woods to explore. Footpaths running through the farm take you to the village, with its shop and pub, Holmansbridge farm shop and cafe, and the Anchor Inn and boating. The historic market town of Lewes is a short drive away, with its antiques, independent shops and cafés. Glyndebourne, Drusillas, Brighton, the South Downs and the Sussex coast are all within easy reach too. Guest access There is ample parking. You are welcome to walk in the woodland on the farm. Other things to note It is a working farm, so expect a gentle flow of walkers, animals and the occasional farm vehicle to pass by. There can sometimes be activity in the workshop during the day and cockerels can start crowing early in the morning. For families with children please note the pond is not fenced.
