Only a few blocks from the L train, travel into our very carefully curated, serene apartment where you have everything you need and nothing you don't. Wake up to a spacious living room and dining area flooded with morning light. The apartment’s open plan and thoughtfully architect-designed, hand-crafted details in every corner are gracious yet understated. Uncluttered with no detail left unconsidered, you'll find it is a relaxing space to live, work and replenish from your city explorations. The apartment is the full 2nd floor of a gut-renovated 3-story brick building. The apartment was formerly two separate apartments combined into one creating its huge 25 x 20 foot living and dining room and our generous 25 foot long wall of south-facing windows. The primary and second bedroom both overlook the building's picturesque, landscaped garden. The primary bedroom features a king size bed, custom built-in bookshelves, drawers and ample storage as well as a desk with an Aeron office chair. The secondary bedroom features a twin bed, a second oversize, built-in, live-edge desk and custom cabinetry through-out. Both bedrooms mattesses are Plush CoolRest® memory foam that are CertiPUR-US certified and our linens are OEKO-TEX® certified 100% cotton linen. We offer extra pillows so you can find the one that best suits you. The apartment has incredible water pressure and enjoys wickedly hot water. Enjoy side-by-side showers with your partner in the generously sized primary bathroom. There's also a half-bath for guests. Take your pick of excellent work spaces: custom, built-in desks in each of the bedrooms offer different, quiet work spaces that can be shut off from the rest of the apartment in addition to the apartment's XL dining table with seating for six. The giant 1,400 square-foot landscaped garden (one floor below) is shared with the two other units in the building. It is stocked with a Weber gas grill for cooking out and seating for six at a huge custom table with an additional lounge area for five. The modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances has all the cookware, utensils and machines (Nespresso, Magic Bullet) necessary for gourmet dining, morning smoothies and excellent coffees. Kitchen also features a state of the art water filter. The apartment has basic starter amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, oil, spices, butter, garbage bags, nespresso pods, etc) for your Day 1 comfort. Included in the apartment's pricing is a full apartment cleaning with linen service every other week. Flat screen TV has access to all major subscription channels (Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV 4, HBO, etc). Blazing Wi-fi (500+ Mbps!) and a Sonos speaker system also provided for your work and entertainment. A walk-in closet with 8 feet plus of floor-to-ceiling storage on two sides provides even more storage for your suitcases and things so that you can fully enjoy the serenity of a clutter free apartment during your stay. The apartment is also full of built-in cabinets and drawers for stashing your things. Host is available for every question and concern that arises. We're fast and responsive and your happiness is ours. Kindly note that the building + grounds are pet-free and smoke-free as our neighbor is allergic. Guest access The entire apartment is yours to enjoy and is well-furnished for your comfort. However, if there is anything that you need or have questions about during your stay, we are always reachable and happy to help. Our (former) house is your house and we hope you will treat our things as if they are your own. The garden is a shared common area with other tenants and as such should be used thoughtfully and considerately. TRANSPORT/LOCATION: There are two L train stops within a 4 minute walk, the Graham and Grand stops. Choose which stop according to what you need-- great sandwich shops, stores, groceries and cobblers, etc along the way. The G train is an 8 minute walk. The Q59 and B43 buses have stops on our physical block which make access to Bedford and Greenpoint Aves a snap. Install any of the MTA bus apps and know exactly when the bus will arrive and leave the apartment at 2 minutes to go. The Q59 drops you 2 blocks from Equinox, Whole Foods and the Apple Store on Bedford and Grand. Other things to note Before booking, kindly review our house rules carefully which are few but are important to us and our neighbors. •Leave your heels in the hall: we ask you to take your shoes off when in the apartment. •No drugs, no parties. •Kindly be mindful of our neighbors. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am in the apartment and yard. •Common sense rules: it's a city outside the door so lock up and be mindful of your surroundings. •The entire building and yard is smoke-free. There is no smoking of any kind in the apartment, rear yard or in front of the building. If anyone in your booking is a smoker, we ask you to please look elsewhere for accommodations. •No pets. Like the no smoking policy, this is also a firm policy as our neighbor is highly allergic. All of our stays are long term (30 days or more) with our average stay being 3 months. For your comfort and information, just prior to the beginning of your stay we will tour you (either by video chat or in person as time permits) through the apartment and yard to review basic details like garbage, recycling, how things work, where things are stored, etc. It will take about 20-30 minutes.
