It boasts a large sofa and side chairs for relaxing and having great conversations. Enjoy the antique game table with a game of cards or a board game (available for your use). In a nook, on your way to the family room, is a small “business area” with a comfortable desk for working remotely. High-speed WiFi is provided. The family room has a huge sectional sofa with chaise and ottoman for relaxing while reading (books available for your enjoyment) or watching your favorite shows on the 60" TV. The large dining space seats 8. And there is even a small kids table and chairs for little ones. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need for cooking or baking. There is a drip coffee maker and a Keurig (just plan to bring your own K-cups). A full-size washer and dryer are just off kitchen with detergent, bleach and dryer sheets provided. Upstairs are four bedrooms: The large master has a king bed, sitting area and makeup vanity. The second-floor deck is just off the master with chairs for enjoying a lazy afternoon. The second bedroom has a queen and a comfortable sitting area perfect for enjoying a good book! The third bedroom has a queen size bed and an adjoining room (fourth bedroom) with two twin beds. Cape Charles, on the National Directory of Historic Places, is like stepping back to a simpler time (with modern amenities). The neighbors are quiet and friendly. Cape Charles is a delightful step back in time, where people are nice, friendly, helpful. Head over two blocks to Mason Ave (the towns main street) for shopping and eating. The Cape Charles Town Beach is located two blocks away along Bay Avenue with beach access at the end of every block. Located at the ends of Tazewell and Randolph Avenues are two wooden beach access points with view platforms and benches for people to enjoy views of the Chesapeake Bay and spectacular sunsets. Public restroom facilities are provided at the southern end of the beach by the entrance to the fishing pier. Adjacent to the Town’s public beach, located at the southern end, is Cape Charles Fishing Pier. The pier has many built-in benches for you to use while watching boats come and go from the Town Harbor or sail by in the open waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The pier also offers an excellent place to spend the day fishing or crabbing. Central Park is conveniently located one block away in the center of historic downtown Cape Charles. In 2010, Central Park was redesigned with a large pergola, gazebo, benches, and a beautiful fountain. Enjoy two lighted, public tennis courts and “Cape Kids”, a playground for young children. The Town of Cape Charles has a saltwater fishing license for the pier, so the general public is not be required to have an individual saltwater fishing license in order to go crabbing or fishing.
