The house, built about 200 years ago, is located in the Nucleo, in a slightly elevated position, in Cavergno. It has been restored in recent years with much love and time. Beautiful and bright rooms, some with balcony. Immersed in unspoiled nature, between the four valleys - Bavona, Lavizarra, Maggia and Rovana. Crystal clear waters, spectacular waterfalls and mountain lakes. Rugged, wild valleys and villages where time stands still." The space The room has an "en-suite" bathroom. The original chestnut wood windows, the beautiful old wooden floor, the sunny little balcony, the wonderful view over the valley give the room a special warmth and airiness. It has a queen size bed, futon mattress, 210x200 comforter and a small balcony. Kitchen/lounge can be shared (see house rules). Good bus connections to the 4 valleys Bavona, Lavizarra, Maggia and Rovana, every half hour to Locarno/Ascona. Well-maintained roads with relatively little traffic up to some high alpine areas. Great tours on 2 or 4 wheels. Bicycles for hire in the municipality. Hiking trails and great walks along the rivers and in the mountains and valleys. Cultural diversity. In nature on the trail of history. Museums worth seeing on the eventful history of Ticino. Heavenly bathing spots as far as the eye can see.
