Located in the upper part of Birkebeinerbakken, you can put on your skis inside the cabin and head straight into the famous cross-country trails at Sjusjøen. In summer, the area offers beautiful hikes, mountain biking and fishing – perfect for families and groups of friends who enjoy outdoor adventures all year round. Sjusjøen and the surrounding areas of Ringsaker and Øyer offer fantastic trail networks, whether you prefer regular or electric mountain bikes. For families, there are plenty of fun activities nearby, such as horseback riding, playgrounds, or day trips to Hunderfossen Family Park or Lilleputthammer miniature town. Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the nearby lakes and rivers. Sjusjøvannet is known for large pikes, and other nearby waters offer great trout fishing. We recommend hiking to Lunkefjell, about 1000 meters above sea level. From here, you’ll have stunning views in every direction. Take a break by Store Lunken – the shallow water makes this a surprisingly warm and idyllic swimming spot in summer. Back at the cabin, you can enjoy the view from the terrace while grilling dinner. Practical information: Bed linen and towels: Not included. You can bring your own or rent for 250 NOK per set. Please let us know in advance if you wish to rent. Cleaning is included in the total price, but you must prepare the property according to instructions. The fee will appear as a separate line when booking. Easter holidays: Booking during Easter is possible for the following periods: Friday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Monday, or the entire holiday week. Guest access It is probably one of the first cabins to be built in Birkebeinerbakken, which was the area's alpine slope from 1987 to 2008. It has been refurbished and built on several times since the year of construction in 1969, and contains a cozy kitchen / dining area and bedroom, and a new part with 2 large, beautiful and modern bathrooms. Furthermore, there is an Annex right outside where 4 people can sleep in comfortable bunk beds. You will get a Pet Rules in instructions.  NB! Please, note that linen/towels are not included in the price. So you should take it with you or it is possible to hire it for 250NOK per set.
