O Muíño da Balsiña (mill)

In the heart of Galicia, just 40 km from Santiago de Compostela, "O Muíño da Balsiña" is an old watermill in a nature reserve on the Arnego River. Guests love the privacy, the hammocks, bathing in the river, stargazing and Xoana the cat. Neighbours include peregrine falcons, nightjars, kingfishers, bats, pine martens, genets, otters, lizards. Your host, Hannah, will be in the smaller house. Xoana the cat enters both houses. Other things to note "O Muíño da Balsiña" is accessible by car in under an hour from the train station or Santiago de Compostela airport. Please note that the last 1.2 km of the route are unpaved (see photo of the track). Self-catering only. The nearest shops, supermarkets and excellent Galician restaurants are located in Vila de Cruces, a 15-minute drive away.
