Enjoy the convenience of being just minutes away from downtown Richmond and also being able to walk to the wonderful natural surroundings that Southside Richmond has to offer. Hike or bike the Buttermilk Trail and Forest Hill Park. Kayak the James River or just sit by the water at Belle Isle. Walk along the Potterfield Bridge for an upclose look at the river. A short-ish walk to the Allianz Ampitheater. You will be just across the river from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and Maymont Park. Perfect for outdoor lovers who need to be in the city. Less than 10 minute drive to the Greater Richmond Convention Center, VCU and MCV. The entire guest suite is yours to enjoy! This intimate one bedroom suite was bulit in 2023 and featues an open concept design, lots of natural light, a comfortable queen size memory foam bed, a rainhead shower in the bath, a small kitchenette and an electric fireplace in the living room for a cozy evening in. Kitchenette: This small area includes all you need to cook simple meals when you don't feel like venturing out to one of the many excellent resturants that Richmond has to offer. Appliances include a single-burner Cusimax hot plate, microwave, toaster, and blender. The coffee maker offers several options so you can brew a single cup or carafe with ground coffee or use a K-cup for single servings. Living room: Relax and enjoy the large 4k Roku TV. You have free access to Disney+, Hulu and live TV via Youtube TV (which includes live ESPN and ESPN2). Feel free to sign into your other streaming services as well. The desk includes a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and high speed internet. Bathroom: Full bathroom with all the essentials, including a hair dryer and makeup mirror. The large shower with seat has a rainfall shower head and separate shower wand. And the heated floor adds an extra touch of luxury. Bedroom: The bed has a queen size memory foam mattress with several styles of pillow so you can choose what suits you best. There is a second 50" Smart TV in the bedroom. To reduce the amount of light in the bedroom there are blackout curtains for the windows and in the openings between the bedroom and the living room area. The mid century style sofa in the living room opens out flat to accommodate one person for sleeping. One of the photos shows the open sofa. In addition to a sheet set and extra pillow, a foam mattress topper is provided for use with the fold-out sofa. Deck: There is a private deck in the rear that is just for your use. Enjoy a cup of morning coffee in your own outdoor space. In the spring the camellia tree just off the deck offers wonderful red blossoms. This guest suite is a separate section of our personal residence. We understand that most guests prefer the privacy of independent travel so you probably won't see us at all during your stay! The household in our portion of the home does include three cats. They do not have access to the guest suite but do spend some time outside near the entrance. We mention this just in case someone is HIGHLY allergic to cats. We do have a small inflatable bathing tub that fits in the shower for a baby or toddler. Please request in advance if you would like to use this during your stay. Parking and access: This first floor guest suite has it's own sidewalk and separate entrance. You can park on the street just in front of the guest suite. There is a step up from the street at the curb. There are no steps from the sidewalk to the suite. With the smart lock you will have your own code for entry. While the suite is wheelchair accessible the bathroom layout is quite tight since the door swings into the bathroom. Security camera: There is an exterior camera overlooking the street and sidewalk leading to the guest suite. There is also a RING doorbell camera at the main house.
