Peaceful apartment near the James River

Welcome to our cozy, well-appointed studio (basement) apartment in the lovely and quiet neighborhood of Stratford Hills close to the city and river. Situated just a block off of Chippenham Parkway, you will have efficient access to all of the cities charms. We are only a 4-5 minute drive to Pony Pasture and Huguenot Flatwater, two signature spots, on the beautiful James River with boat access, swimming, hiking, and biking trails. 10min drive to Carytown, the fan and museum districts The space This is a studio apartment, some might call it a mother-in-law suite, situated in the bottom level of our house. Our home functions essentially as a DUPLEX as we live upstairs and the Airbnb is downstairs (no shared space except for laundry). The apartment has a private driveway with plenty of space (bringing a boat or kayaks?), and a private patio with a grill and table for 4. Inside there is one king bed, a dedicated workspace, a tasteful living room with couch, tv, a brick fireplace that doesn’t work yet but looks cozy, and an attractive kitchenette with refrigerator, two-burner stovetop, microwave, coffee machine, toaster oven and bar-seating for two. You will have your own bathroom, a 70’s period piece, and there is both a washer and dryer should you need it. Although it is in our house, you will have complete privacy. That said, we are a family of three and you may be able to hear my husband, our 5 year old, and I walking around upstairs. Guest access You will have access to a driveway, a patio, the studio apartment and a laundry room (we share the laundry room, but try not to use while guests are staying) . If we run into you, we will neither talk your ear off nor be awkwardly distant. We love people but respect privacy.
