Welcome to our stylish, well-appointed and well-lit studio apartment in the lovely and quiet neighborhood of Stratford Hills. Situated just a block off of Chippenham Parkway, you will have clear and efficient access to all of the cities charms. We are only a 4-5 minute drive to Pony Pasture and Huguenot Flatwater, two signature spots, on the beautiful James River. They have boat access, swimming, hiking, and biking trails. You could even ride your bike there if don’t mind the hills! This is a studio apartment, some might call it a mother-in-law suite, situated in the bottom level of our house. The apartment has a private driveway with plenty of space (bringing a boat or kayaks?), and a private patio with a grill and table for 4. Inside there is one king bed, a dedicated workspace, a tasteful living room with couch, tv, a brick fireplace that doesn’t work yet but looks cozy, and an attractive kitchenette with refrigerator, two-burner stovetop, microwave, coffee machine, toaster oven and bar-seating for two. You will have your own bathroom, a 70’s period piece, and there is both a washer and dryer should you need it. Although it is in our house, there are no shared spaces. That said, we are a family of three and you may be able to hear my husband and I walking around or our three year old pattering up and down the hall. You will have access to a driveway, a patio, the studio apartment and a laundry room. You can walk around the yard if you wish, that’s totally up to you. If we run into you we will neither talk your ear off nor be awkwardly distant. We love people but respect privacy. Leon, our three year old, might want to play baseball with you. :) We run another AirBnb in Virginia Beach and are no strangers to hospitality. We are extremely responsive to our guests through the in-app messaging. Theoretically, since you are in our house, you could come knock on our door, but we suggest you do that only in emergencies. Just as a reminder, our little boy is 3 and sometimes gets a little vivacious and excitable, but we will always try and be as quiet and respectful as possible while you are staying downstairs! I grew up in Richmond and my husband has lived here for over 20 years. We are very familiar with the area and are happy to share any recommendations! We are located in a quiet, hilly, wooded neighborhood called Stratford Hills just 10 minutes from the fan. We have very friendly and kind neighbors and the James River is just a 15 minute walk or 5 min drive away. We have two driveways- one in the front of the house (which we use) and one behind the house (which is for guests' use).
