A desert oasis! Our beloved home in the most picturesque neighborhood in Joshua Tree. Featured in Architectural Digest and Bon Appetit, the house is tucked next to boulders that border the National Park boundaries and has a 360-degree view of boulders and mountains. It's a wonderful, quiet neighborhood with infrequent Airbnb rentals. We love it because it's the perfect mix of peace and space while having a very convenient central location. The space The home is situated on a 2.5-acre property. Each detail has been carefully considered in this home and most of the work was done over years by the owners themselves - this will certainly not feel like a typical rental because it is our seasonal home and designed for us :) It's a humble layout but all you need for a vacation; peaceful quiet nights, expansive views, and a balance of indoor/outdoor living. There’s a main room with living and kitchen, with a dining room filled with plants all around the wooden table. The kitchen has a high end stainless steel stove, a dishwasher and is packed with all the utensils and gear you could want. The owner is an avid cook so the spice drawer is full and the knives are sharp! There’s a utility room with fridge, pantry and washer/dryer unit. A full bath with French lime plaster walls and a rain shower with toilet and sink. Our wonder valley skincare line is included as part of the bath amenities. There’s a king bed in the main bedroom with its own heat/cooling unit + French doors to the patio, a chair and ample storage. The guest bedroom has two major closets and a twin sized day bed with a view of the olive and joshua trees for bird watching. Outdoor space has a shaded dining table, chaise lounge chairs, and an outdoor bathhouse with claw foot tub + shower. *** please note: we live here with our dog when we’re not renting the home on Airbnb. The house has been heavily cleaned but we’re letting you know In case of severe dog allergies. We do not allow any pets on the property for rentals *** Guest access Plenty of private parking in the driveway. It will be self-check-in. We have a local caretaker (Lindsay) that looks after the property and is available if any issues arise or you need anything. There’s our 34 ft trailer big blue that’s available to rent as well for an additional fee - just message us for details and rate. There’s a shipping container + standalone garage on property that is off limits to guests. Other things to note The most important thing is that this house is made with natural materials and does not recover from damage easily (ex: there's seagrass carpet in the bedrooms, so any stains are permanent). If you are coming to the desert to party, be loud, or have a big group - this is not the place for you. We love our neighbors and it's a quiet neighborhood mostly of full-time residents. We expect our guests to respect this and not have loud noise or music playing to disrupt. There is wifi, we have upgraded to Tesla remote wifi so it’s much speedier than most options in the desert and will be great for streaming movies or remotely working. Clean, great drinking water (not on a well). With a berkey filter so no need to haul drinking water. There's an indoor fireplace & outdoor grill - bring your own firewood and charcoal and please be very careful and do not leave unattended. Registration Details CESTRP-2022-00458
