We are in the heart of Apple Hill attractions with a golf course, orchards, wineries and Christmas tree farms. Lakes and skiing within an hour's drive. Child friendly. Seasonal swimming pool and hot tub. Enjoy the outdoor dining area and use the grill, eat s'mores around the fire pit or just relax on the hammock. We are a retired couple living in a separate home on the property. You may see us working on one of our many ongoing projects. Continuous improvements are being made all over but you will have the privacy of the entire house. Feel free to stop and visit with us as you see us outside. The swamp cooler keeps summer days comfortable and the wood-burning stove gives cozy heat in the winter. (Electric heat is also available.) You are welcome to explore the cleared areas of our 13 acres that feature a year-round spring fed pond but beware of rattle snakes and poison oak in the wooded areas. Dogs and pets are welcome with a cash fee of $20/pet/visit. Ample parking is available. Our property abuts the El Dorado National Forest with the South Fork of the American River at the bottom of the gorge. Our game cams have revealed deer, bears, mountain lions and various other wildlife in the area, however, we rarely see these animals come into our cleared living spaces. It is a special treat to see deer, turkeys, foxes and other wildlife. Since we live on the property we will be available 24/7 to answer questions or give information. We will do our utmost to protect your privacy, so the amount of interaction you have with us is up to you. We are in the heart of Apple Hill with abundant activities during the fall season. Our little private road hosts a winery, Christmas tree farm, juice factory, pie shop and a brewery. Nearby you can find orchards, mazes, gold panning and other fun activities. For golfers, the beautiful Apple Mountain Golf Resort is just minutes away. Even with all this nearby, you will not believe how peaceful and quiet it is here on the property. Driving is convenient and there is ample parking at all attractions. 4wd is recommended for occasional winter snows. We are fifteen minutes from Placerville for shopping and restaurants. 45 minutes from Folsom and just over an hour to South Lake Tahoe to the east and Sacramento to the west. We are located in a remote and quiet place in the country. You may feel like you are driving to the end of the world. Keep going.
