The Barn is set up to provide the best possible Maine experience including all the comforts of home. The meadows, beaches and expansive skies make our farm one of the most beautiful places in Maine. Experience the history, natural expansive meadow land and beaches on our family's Sea Captain farm. Guest access Private entrance, parking and spacious views 2 beaches and a great fire pit, water access for canoes and kayaks, rent able in Blue Hill and dropped off here. The fields have blueberries in late July and August to pick. You are invited to share in the greenhouse. Pick some food and maybe plant some seeds! We are nearby and happy to help or visit. Other things to note Nearby Acadia, Holbrook, Deer Isle and Stonington for days trips or take the ferry to Isle au Haut for a hike. Lobsters available in Blue Hill and Penobscot along with fresh fish. Tinderhearth Bakery(just won the runner up in the US for pizza with Bon Appetite ) for bread, croissants and pizza. Or stop in the Bagaduce lunch for a James Beard Haddock sandwich! We are often busy on the farm and gardening, mowing and cultivating are on going here. Our property is host to various critters and is a certified organic property. We are interested in preservation, biodynamics, sustainability and organic medicinals. We offer you the use of our entire farm to enjoy the water, available vegetables and spectacular sunsets. When you visit us, you are visiting a farm and wildflowers and herbal gardens. All waterfront, there are 2 beaches to enjoy and fields to walk in or kick a soccer ball! And Dogs! Yes at $30 per day per dog up to two. Rules apply.
