Description

This 1,500 sqft open floor plan Cabin sits at 7,600 feet above sea level with breathtaking views of ski resorts and the Uinta mountains. Nature Lovers Only - Often moose, elk, deer, porcupine, many birds and other wildlife frequent the three acre property. Accessible by 4x4/AWD (SNOW TIRES ARE REQUIRED 11/01-05/01) via dirt roads in Tollgate Canyon. The space Bullmoose Cabin is available as a year-round retreat for up to four adults, minimum two night stay. Nearby Park City, the Weber river, local reservoirs, several state/national parks and other mountain resorts offer year-round recreational activities. To note, a visit to Bullmoose Cabin is not recommended for everyone. You need to be in good physical condition to have an enjoyable stay. (Please see “airbnb” section “Other Details to Note.”) This 1,500 sqft open floor plan Cabin has one upstairs loft bedroom, a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms (including a soaking bath tub), a large main living space, and two decks, one with an outdoor hot tub and shower. There is 100% tiled first floor with radiant heat in the winter and plenty of fans for moving pleasant dry air in the summer. The second floor loft has rough-hewn pine floor boards. This is high desert; the sun is hot and bright during most days (the cabin faces south), and the nights cool down quickly. There are binoculars and a spotting scope at the Cabin for your viewing pleasure. You may also run into Zoe, a super friendly black lab who lives in the property manager’s apartment above the garage. Some of the owners’ family members have severe allergies to fur and dander; therefore, no pets or emotional support pets are permitted in the separate main cabin. If you have a Qualified Service Dog, it would help us if you made other accommodations, thank you so much. If you bring a licensed and registered service dog, official and current documentation must be received one week in advance of your visit by the manager to allow for verification. The service dog must be checked in by the manager at arrival. (We apologize for these explicit conditions; they are necessary because a guest tried to misrepresent two pets as service dogs.) Also, advanced notification of a service dog helps us schedule a deep cleaning after your visit, thanks again. Bullmoose Cabin will provide comfort in a private, natural setting for your mountain get away. The cedar-walled Cabin has a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooktop stove, oven, microwave oven, cookware/utensils, electric kettle, rice maker, automatic coffee maker and more. There is also an outdoor propane grill on the front deck for use during the summer and fall months. There's no dishwasher but plenty of Dawn liquid and dish drying racks - just bring your own elbow grease for washing up. We have a large round dining table which doubles as a card/game table. There is high-speed wifi internet (The wireless 5G is somewhat reliable, but please do not plan on using this for important remote work meetings as the internet occasionally slows down.) and a small TV setup for streaming your accounts (eg. Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV, Fubo, Amazon, Disney, etc.) using a Roku device (provided) or your laptop. We also have a BlueRay DVD player and a few DVDs in addition to some books, puzzles, cards and other games. There is one king size bed in the loft upstairs and there are two queen size pull-out sofas on the first floor of the Cabin. Clean bedding, blankets, bath towels and dish towels are provided. There is a shared garage on the property including one designated indoor parking spot for your vehicle (left bay, facing north). There is ample room to store your skis x4, bikes x2 and other sports equipment. If you have a second car, additional parking is available outside on the gravel driveway. There is one washer/dryer combination unit in the main Bullmoose Cabin and a second set of front loading washer and dryer units in the garage laundry room. There is a utility sink in the garage laundry room to rinse off gear as needed. The property manager lives onsite in the apartment above the shared garage which is located close to the cabin. Water at the cabin is sourced by the Pine Meadow Mutual Water Company. Please contact us - we may be able to accommodate 2 additional adults for an additional per person fee of $50 per night as bedding allows. Guest access The Bullmoose Cabin property manager lives on-site in an apartment above the free-standing garage. Vehicle Requirements The roads leading to Bullmoose Cabin are unpaved, bumpy and not always fully plowed in the winter. Mud season can be difficult. A 4x4 or AWD car or truck is required for year-round access and SNOW TIRES are required on your vehicle during the winter and mud seasons (11/01-05/01). Chains on the front tires may be helpful when there is deep snow. Winter Transportation If you want to rent a vehicle during the snow/mud season (11/01-05/01), please note that many car rental agencies may not rent vehicles with snow tires and do not allow chains on their rental vehicles. Some visitors have been happy renting AWD cars with snow tires from Mark Miller Subaru in Salt Lake City. There is a coded smart-lock on the front door for self check-in. Other things to note WARNING: A VISIT TO BULLMOOSE CABIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE!!! DO NOT APPROACH BIG GAME ANIMALS Due to safety concerns, guests under age 21 are prohibited. We do not provide refunds for non-compliant transportation vehicles or the inability to reach Bullmoose Cabin. THERE ARE NO SERVICES ON Pine Meadow Ranch (PMR) property. THEREFORE, if you get stuck, immediately contact the property manager as parking on the roads or blocking the roads is a safety hazard for other residents. Towing is at your expense and will cost upwards of $350. If you do not have snow tires you may be fined and asked to leave the PMR property by PMRHOA officials. Please be aware that there can be extreme weather at Bullmoose Cabin. THE WALKWAYS, DRIVEWAY AND DECKS ARE OFTEN VERY SLIPPERY DUE TO ICE AND SNOW. Please do not rent the cabin unless you are in good physical condition, and please bring the appropriate footwear for slippery surfaces. The owners are not responsible for injuries due to slips and falls or for guest interactions with animals on the property. The porches and deck may not be cleared of snow in the winter, but shovels are present if you wish to clear winter snow fall on the porch and deck yourself.
