Fenced in dog friendly cottage by Mohonk Preserve
The cottage is a hop to the Walkill Valley Rail Trail that hugs the Monhonk Preserve. Inside the cottage, you will feel warm and cozy, just like home. The Rosendale trestle and Joppenberg Mountain are a quick walk or bike ride away. Shops, amenities close by. Your pups will Love the yard! Easy access to trails for XCountry skiing/snow shoes. Dog fee is $75 per dog, 2 dog max. Dogs over 50 pounds are special request. Our fenced in yard has areas of shade and open sky for star gazing during a cozy night by the fire pit. The hammock is a relaxing and fun place to chill after a long day of adventure. Dogs love exploring the yard! The outdoor shower is great for brisk morning wake up rinse staring at trees and sky, but night showers are just as grand! We recommend bringing your robes. There are yard lights for your chill evening on the deck or by the fire pit. We have indoor and outdoor shower. New fridge/freezer and dishwasher installed 2022. We have parking in front and on the side of the cottage. My neighbors directly across from the fence are close friends and can help with any immediate emergencies. However, we are easily accessible by mobile phone with any issues or concerns. You can walk down our street for access to the rail trail. If you turn right out of our gate to the end of the block and turn right again, you will see a home on your left. Turn on street that looks like a drive way. It is public access. There is a dead end sign. Go down the hill, keep left of machine shed. Again, this is public access, but looks private. Follow trail for 15 yards onto rail trail. This trail goes to Kingston(turn right toward trestle) or Highland(turn left towards Rail,Trail Cafe/live music in the woods, New Paltz) to connect to Walk over Hudson Bridge(about a 20 mile bike ride). Sorry we cannot host cats. We do love that you bring your dogs. However, due to wear and tear as well as extra cleaning, more than one dog will require and extra fee of $50. There is a $50 charge for dogs over 50 pounds. We love the pups, but there is a lot of wear and tear our place has experieinced. Please no dogs over 65 pounds without discussing with us. Thank you.
