Secluded Bamboo Retreat on a Beaver Lake Cove
Secluded Bamboo Retreat on a Beaver Lake Cove
Description
Bamboo Retreat: Eclectic guest studio on quiet Beaver Lake cove. It is a separate, small studio for people who want a country retreat to hike, bike, swim, or visit attractions. Located near Hobbs State Park's miles of trails and War Eagle Mill. Easy day excursions to Bentonville, Crystal Bridges, Eureka Springs, etc. You can swim at the lake public access in front of our house. Important: no pets, no infants/children, no smoking. A photo and profile are required after booking. We live here. The space We built this little studio ourselves as well as the house we live in. The ceiling is corrugated metal and the bathroom has art deco grills from an old building in Madison Wisconsin. The windows are etched with bamboo silhouettes. There is a stained glass window of bamboo above the entryway and a sandstone private patio for evening refreshments or breakfast. This is not like a VRBO. It has a small kitchenette and we provide coffee and tea, oatmeal and milk. Be prepared to get meals on day excursions or bring sandwich supplies. War Eagle Mills is a gorgeous old mill is an easy drive away. Our place works best for guests who love to spend time outdoors exploring the region, hiking, biking, swimming in the lake right out front, but want a very comfortable place to sleep and relax. We are not in town or set up for camping or camp fires. We live in the house near the studio and don't rent when we are gone. We love meeting our guests and then leave them to the peace and quiet we promise and our guests enjoy. Guest access This is a private single entrance studio. You must have transportation to stay here. The road is paved all the way until it turns to gravel 1/4 mile before our house. It is a well maintained county road. It is a gorgeous drive. The studio sits right behind our house beside the Art Studio. All roads in the mountains are curvy. Other things to note If you want a more urban retreat this is not the right place. It is in the country and good for people who want a very peaceful retreat. No fish cleaning areas are available so kayaking, swimming, hiking and visits to nearby towns are recommended. There are no lifeguards here or at most of the parks so swim at your own risk. Keep in mind that this is a Corps of Engineers public lake and they require lifejackets on all boats. Never swim alone. We do not have space for motor boats. Canoes and kayaks are welcome. You provide your own meals but we will have coffee, tea, milk, oatmeal, honey and sugar for your convenience.
