Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Nestled amongst old trees and blackberry bushes, this is a place you are sure to remember! A "glamping" cottage - perfect for those seeking a year-round camping experience. The spring brings the sound of frogs, the smell of fresh lilac, and deer wandering right outside your door. In summer it's the perfect spot to grill and lounge. In fall, the air smells like crisp leaves, and winter brings the sound of rain - a coziness you're sure to love! The space Local listing certificate: P-000037 The cottage is located a 5 minute drive to the Seattle/Bainbridge ferry (a 35 minute crossing to the hustle & bustle of downtown Seattle and the stadiums). The owners live in the house above, but the cottage is secluded and private for guests! It includes a private outdoor space with a fire pit, BBQ, and porch chairs - a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee! The queen bed is in the loft above, so guests must be comfortable climbing a ladder if they would like to access the sleeping area. A portable toilet is available to guests, located near the parking lot (150ft from cottage), as well as a heated outdoor shower (we recommend bringing a swimsuit if you are shy + shower sandals). * Heated outdoor shower is seasonal and will be disconnected October - March as the hot water heater pipes burst in freezing temps. Two bicycles are free for guests to take to the nearby shops + beaches! Helmets are located inside the cottage. There is internet, allowing guests to catch up on their favorite Netflix tv series or to work remotely! The weight limit for the lofted area (sleep space) is 500 pounds. Please think of this as an upscale camping experience - there is wild life, limited amenities, and local foliage. There are minimal outlets (2) which allow for electronic charging, a lamp, mini fridge, and stove top. Thank you! Guest access Access to the lower yard and entertainment space. Guests are able to use our washer/dryer located in our laundry room (the house above the cottage) for a $10 charge - please arrange a time with us ahead of time. Other things to note The cottage is cleaned with all non-toxic cleaning products - including laundry detergent. Pets are welcome and a medium-sized dog bed is provided! While the cottage is private, there is no “private” changing space within the cottage - it is one open space. The shower space outside does have a curtain around it and the portable toilet is (of course) enclosed. The weight limit for the lofted bed is 500 pounds.
