Directions From The NYS Thruway The Narrows is easy to find...Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 31 at Utica, follow Route 12 north to Alder Creek (approximately 25 miles) and then north on Route 28 to Old Forge (another 25 miles). One mile from the center of town, just past the Water Safari. Kayaks, paddle boards and canoe are available for guests to use.
