'Rosie' Shepherd's Hut

Nestled in the corner of Barley Meadow at Spring Hill Farm, our Shepherd’s Hut offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and connect with nature. The hut features a modern en-suite, kitchenette, double bed, and a wood-fired hot tub outside the hut (added Oct 2024). Please note, there’s a 150-metre walk from the parking area, and as the hut is in a field, the path can get muddy—so come prepared! The space The main area of the hut serves multiple purposes. It features a comfortable sleeping area with cosy double bed, a dining area with a small table and chairs and a compact but well-equipped kitchenette. Rosie Shepherd’s Hut also has her own little electric stove, which is a room heater and a small oven, perfect for cooking small dishes. The kitchentte features a sink, a countertop hob, good-sized fridge and storage with all of the kitchen essentials. Although the kitchen area is compact, it offers everything you need to prepare a simple meal or enjoy a cup of tea. The bathroom features a shower, toilet, and a small basin, providing you with all of the essential amenities. To enhance the comfort and relaxation of your shepherd's hut, thoughtful touches are featured, such as a small electric Everhot stove, ideal for heating the room and perfect for cooking small dishes if you wish. Soft lighting in the bedroom area and cluster lights around the bedroom archway create a soothing atmosphere. Outside of the hut, you can relax, unwind, and connect with nature. With a table, chairs, a fire pit (available only during the summer months/when the ground is not too wet), and a cozy wood-fired hot tub, you're fully equipped for an outdoor retreat. Other things to note Breakfast - enhance your stay with our convenient continental breakfast option. Kickstart your morning hassle-free with a delicious selection of breakfast items, available for an additional charge of £25. Contact us during your booking process for more details and to reserve your breakfast. Late check-out - if you would like to check out later than our standard time of 11 AM, please contact us. Subject to availability, a later check-out can be arranged for an additional charge of £10 per hour past 11 AM. Electric Vehicle Charging - if you require electric vehicle charging during your stay, please contact us in advance to check availability. We offer access to a standard charging point for £25 per charge. Please note that this is a regular outlet, so we recommend overnight charging as it is not a high-capacity facility. Celebrations – If you're celebrating a special occasion during your stay, we’d love to help make it extra special! For a £15 fee, we can put up a few simple decorations you send in advance (e.g. a banner and a few balloons). If you’re wanting to plan anything more elaborate, just let us know and we’ll confirm if there’s any extra cost.
