Welcome to your lakefront oasis in Youbou, British Columbia. Designed as a place for friends and family to gather, the Youbou Lakehouse is a sanctuary where you can unwind and connect with the natural world. Enjoy private lake access, a stunning view, 2 outdoor fire pits, paddle boards, a gorgeous sauna, salt water hot tub, and a massive 85” TV with surround sound. Have fun, but no parties, and please choose another spot if you are unwilling to be considerate of our wonderful neighbors. The space The Youbou Lakehouse is a newly renovated West Coast retreat with Scandinavian influences, set on a private one-third-acre waterfront property with unobstructed views of Lake Cowichan. Located in the quiet hamlet of Youbou, the property is surrounded by nature and wildlife. It feels secluded and private while remaining close enough to the town of Lake Cowichan for groceries and other essentials. The home comfortably accommodates families and groups across four bedrooms: Two bedrooms with king-size beds, including a downstairs primary suite with a private bathroom One bedroom with a queen-size bed One bunk room with four single beds arranged as two bunk beds The modern, well-appointed kitchen features Miele appliances and is stocked with most cooking essentials. Downstairs, a large sectional provides plenty of room to relax and enjoy a movie on the 72-inch smart TV with surround sound. Outside, the spacious, mostly level lawn extends toward the lake and is ideal for games and family activities. Two high-end firepit seating areas, a beautiful sauna and an impeccably maintained saltwater hot tub make it easy to enjoy the property throughout the year. Guests also have access to four paddleboards, a canoe and lifejackets. A large private dock is furnished with chaise loungers, and additional folding chairs can be moved around the property as desired. The long driveway provides direct access toward the lake and is suitable for launching boats. The garage includes a fitness area with a weight rack, bench, trap bar, rowing machine and adjustable dumbbells. Recreational equipment includes Spikeball, a badminton net and several other games. Please note that summer watering restrictions may affect the condition of the lawn. We water it as permitted while carefully following all local restrictions. For everyone’s safety, all guests staying at the property are required to review and sign a liability waiver. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire home and property during their stay. Please note that our landscaper typically visits on Friday AM to perform outdoor property maintenance. The long driveway provides access to the lake and may be used for launching a boat. A portion of the driveway crosses our neighbour’s property, so please be courteous, avoid blocking access and do not leave vehicles or trailers there for extended periods. Other things to note ⚠️ Waiver Required: All guests are asked to sign a brief liability waiver before check-in. This covers use of amenities such as the sauna, hot tub, gym, dock, and lake access. The form is quick to complete electronically via docusign and ensures everyone can safely enjoy the property.
