Bijou Beatus – Lakeview Sunset Retreat

Welcome to the cozy *Bijou Beatus* in Merligen! The Bijou is located in an old, typical Swiss chalet and can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The space The apartment has a bedroom with a double bed (160x210) and a closet. There is a comfortable sofa in the living room where you can relax after a long day. The sofa can be pulled out into an additional sleeping area (130x190) on request. It has a small, practical kitchen with dining area. There is also a rustic-style bathroom/WC in the apartment. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub. The terrace and balcony are the perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Niesen massif and the beautiful Lake Thun - just relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air! The apartment is decorated in cozy warm colors and offers you a nice place to relax after an eventful day in the Bernese Oberland. The chalet (former double farmhouse) was built in the 17th century and later extended and converted. This is an older apartment with authentically LOW CEILINGS. Unfortunately, we do not have a place to store your luggage safely before check-in or after check-out. Guest access Free public parking is available on the opposite side of the street or a few meters above the apartment. The apartment is accessible only via an external staircase. The lower and upper part of the building is private. We ask you to respect this. Thank you! :) Other things to note ** GOOD TO KNOW ** ** We ask that you provide accurate information on the number of people traveling. From the 3rd person, the price increases accordingly. ** Unfortunately, we cannot provide a washing machine. ** There is no air conditioning in the apartment. However, for hot days, a fan is available to make it as comfortable as possible. ** Unfortunately, luggage storage before and after check-out is not possible. ** 🚿 Note on bathroom use Please make sure that no water gets on the floor outside the shower area. Our bathrooms are not designed to have water running over the floor. Be sure not to install your own hoses or attachments – this is not allowed and will automatically result in the guest being charged for any damage. If water spills, please wipe up immediately to avoid damage. Note: Damage due to improper use (e.g. flooding, water damage to floors or furniture and unauthorized installations) will be charged to you in full. ** 🐞 Note on insects – nature included 💚 Our apartments are located in some of the most beautiful natural regions of Switzerland – on the lake, in the mountains or surrounded by greenery. With this special location, it can happen from time to time that small visitors from nature also show up. ☀️ Despite thorough and regular cleaning, insects such as mosquitoes, spiders or beetles can get into the apartment – especially in summer or when windows are open. For your convenience, we provide insect spray and, where possible, fly screens. Please note: This is not a sign of lack of cleanliness, but simply part of having nature right outside the door. 🌿 If you love nature, you will feel comfortable with us.
