Charming Cottage Walkout with Breathtaking Views

A beautiful lakeside area just a couple minutes drive to town. Enjoy lake life and the charming town of Bala. Access to Long Lake, use of two kayaks, a canoe, a fire pit with Muskoka Chairs and a barbeque. The outdoor amenities may be shared with the other unit on the top floor. The space Private lower unit of a Cottage on Long Lake in Bala. This cottage is split into two units. The cottage is built on a hill, so both the upper and lower unit have ground floor entrances. In this lower unit, the ground floor entrance and windows face the lake. Includes a large living room, small kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom and private entrance. Living room is furnished with a small futon, which folds down into a double bed. An extra folding mattress is located in the bedroom closet, which folds out to a single bed. The unit sleeps a total of 4 people. 2 in bedroom, 1 on futon, 1 on extra mattress. This is an older cottage, with classic Muskoka wood panelling and flooring. Due to the age and materials used in construction, noise can sometimes be heard from the upper unit. Kindly note that the bedroom windows are fixed and cannot open. Also, please note that the refrigerator is an older model and may occasionally make a bit of noise, but it functions perfectly and keeps food cold. Guest access You will have your own private entrance (ground level) at the back of the cottage. You will have the unit to yourself. You may have shared access to all outdoor common areas including the fire pit and the dock. You may have shared access to the kayaks and canoe. During the warmer weather, you may have shared access to the stand up paddle board, swimming tube and noodles. Other things to note Please make sure to follow water safety standards when using kayaks and canoe. Wear a lifejacket and be mindful of motorized watercraft. Please note that watercraft and accessories are to be used at your own risk. Please note that the water in this Airbnb is filtered and safe for activities like washing dishes, showering and brushing teeth. However, it is not potable for drinking purposes. Complimentary refreshments, including Brita filtered water and chilled water bottles have been conveniently stocked in the fridge for your enjoyment. There is a shared driveway. You will have space to park 2 cars on the left side of the driveway, when facing the cottage. The cottage is located within walking distance to both Torrance and down town Bala. Enjoy the lake, concerts at The Kee (seasonal), many parks and great restaurants (some restaurants are seasonal). Please no smoking or vaping in the cottage. You may smoke outside, but please make sure to properly dispose of your cigarette butts. Please note that we are located on a main road and traffic noise may be heard. Quiet hour starts at 11pm. Please no loud music past this time. Our cottage is set in a natural environment, so you may occasionally encounter some bugs. We keep the space very clean, but a few are unavoidable. **Please note that although this is an older, well enjoyed cottage, great care is taken to make sure it is thoroughly cleaned for every guest.
