A short 10-minute walk leads directly to the shore of spectacular Summersville Lake, West Virginia's newest State Park! This fully furnished and outfitted home is the perfect spot to launch epic outdoor adventures and make memories to last a lifetime. This 2-story log cabin has hardwood floors and wood-paneled walls and ceilings throughout. The open-plan great room features a cathedral ceiling and contains plenty of comfortable furniture, a 43” smart TV, and a selection of books, games, and toys for kids, teens, and adults. The fully equipped kitchen includes a pantry and all the cookware, dishes, and equipment needed for family meals. Seating for 2 is available at the kitchen counter. The light-filled dining room features seating for 6, skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful forest views, and patio-door access to the wrap-around deck. The 1st-floor bedroom contains a double bed, 2 dressers, and stacked washer/dryer unit. A 1st-floor full bathroom with tub/shower combo is adjacent to the bedroom and main living space. A 2nd full bathroom with stand-up shower is located in the 2nd-floor loft sleeping area, which features a skylight, queen bed, and roomy walk-in closet. A 3rd "clubhouse" bedroom is located steps away from the main house across the deck. This fun space features a large bay window and contains 2 sets of twin bunk beds, 2 dressers, and a mini-fridge. A queen-sized inflatable mattress is available for additional sleeping options. Ample outdoor living space includes a large wrap-around deck with propane grill, propane-powered fire pit, picnic table with seating for 6, and 5 Adirondack chairs. The covered front porch features 2 rocking chairs and gated access to a fenced yard for pets. An electric sauna and outdoor shower are located a few steps from the deck. There is central heat and air conditioning throughout the main house, with separate heating and AC units in the clubhouse. Wi-Fi Internet is available throughout the entire space. The wood stove in the great room is *not* operational. Guests have access to the entire home, except for the owner's closet and crawl space. Guests may use the provided propane grill, propane-powered fire pit, electric sauna, and outdoor shower. The porch and deck are fully enclosed and gated, with direct access to a fenced yard for pets. (Note that very small or determined dogs may be able to find an escape route.) 2 kayaks, 2 camp chairs, and 2 inflatable rafts are available to take to the lake. A dolly is available to transport the kayaks. There is ample driveway parking for up to 6 vehicles, including a covered parking space under the clubhouse. This private residential neighborhood is located within easy walking distance to the beautiful shore of Summersville Lake, West Virginia's newest State Park! The location's privacy and tranquility belies its close 1-mile proximity to the area's main highway, Route 19. Pedestrian lake access is an easy 10-minute walk through the neighborhood via a locked Army Corps gate. Within a quick 10-minute drive, you can access: Summersville Dam and the Upper Gauley River, Battle Run beach and boat launch, Salmon Run boat launch, Summersville Lake marina, Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park, Whippoorwill lake climbing area, and parking for the lake's main climbing areas. The charming town of Fayetteville, home to the New River Gorge Bridge and America's newest National Park, is a 20-minute drive south, while the county seat of Summersville is a 10-minute drive north. This amazing location is a perfect launching point for the area's full range of outdoor adventures, from boating, fishing, paddling, and scuba diving to hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and more! Please respect neighborhood residents by driving slowly (10mph max) and observing quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. No public parking in the neighborhood (ample driveway parking is available for our guests). AWD/4WD is *highly* recommended for winter stays - this private road does not get serviced/plowed/salted.
