Description

Cozy room in a bright two-bedroom apartment with guest bathroom and plenty of natural light. Clean, comfortable, and just off the Lorimer stop on the L train — close to great bars, restaurants, and only two stops from Manhattan. Full disclosure: the building has little curb appeal and is a bit off the beaten path. If a scenic block is a priority, this may not be the best fit. You might prefer Clinton Hill, the West Village, the Upper West Side, the Upper East Side, or closer to McCarren Park. The space The apartment is shared with myself, my partner Logan, and our 5-lb white Chihuahua, Tutti (pictured). Occasionally, my sister’s dog may visit — he can be a bit barky but is completely harmless. The room is cozy but offers excellent closet space, and you’ll have your own guest bathroom exclusively for Airbnb guests. This space is ideal for visitors who are out exploring NYC and just need a comfortable, budget-friendly place to unwind at the end of the day. It’s not ideal for working from home or spending long hours indoors, as my partner works from home and noise or activity in the common areas can be disruptive. If that sounds like you feel free to send a message. Guest access We want you to feel at home, but please be mindful not to take over the entire apartment. You’ll have your own bathroom, so there’s no need to use ours. The office is off-limits, and this space is not suitable for working from home, as our partner works here during the day and needs a quiet environment. While it’s not a strict rule, we do consider the living room “our domain” after 8 pm, as we like to relax with some TV in the evenings. Of course, you’re always welcome to pop in—just be mindful and read the room. Other things to note Overall, the apartment is fairly quiet by NYC standards. While the front faces a busy street, the bedrooms are at the rear, so noise is minimal. There may occasionally be construction on the block, which can be noticeable in the mornings, but it’s generally manageable. If you’re expecting complete silence, a quieter neighborhood might be a better fit. Lastly, we encourage you to compare local hotel prices. If you’re expecting a $400–$600 per night hotel experience at a fraction of the cost, this might not meet those expectations—but you will have a clean, comfortable, budget-friendly place to unwind after exploring the city.
