Shepherd's hut retreat in Mill Green, South Cambs

Our hut is situated in Mill Green, a quiet hamlet only 7 miles from the historic market town of Saffron Walden. The hut is set tucked away in a field with secluded and private parking. There is a combination oven, 2-ring hob, fridge, TV & wifi. Lots of country walks and drives to investigate. Lots of local pubs to find and just ask for any help with directions or finding your favourite cuisine. Please look at my guidebook - we have some lovely pubs and things to do in the area. The space Mill Green Shepherds Hut is dog-friendly. Mill Green is a quiet one-road hamlet only 3 miles from Haverhill, Suffolk and Linton, Cambridgeshire and 7 miles from the historic market town of Saffron Walden in Essex (traditional market days are Tuesdays and Saturdays). We are also 14 miles from The hut is a lovey retreat situated on private land with countryside views. Tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries are provided. Ideally placed being 3 miles from Haverhill & Linton, 7 miles from the historic market town of Saffron Walden in Essex, 14 miles from Central Cambridge, 12 miles from Audley End and 15 Miles from Newmarket and Cambridge and 20 miles from Bury St Edmunds. The hut is a one mile walk to the bus stop - Horseheath Green - with an hourly service into Haverhill and Cambridge - contact Stagecoach for details. There are lovely walks and drives into the three counties that our shepherd's hut closely border - Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex. Haverhill has a very wide range of take-away options and there are an excellent choice of local pubs for dining (booking recommended and please check their websites for opening times) all within 5/10 minutes drive, dog-friendly and with lovely gardens. The Old Red Lion at Horseheath, Cambridgeshire The Rose and Crown, Ashdon, Essex The Three Hills, Bartlow, Cambridgeshire has a prestigious Two Star AA Rosette and Michelin Plate The Three Tuns at Great Abington, Cambridgeshire is a 20-minute drive with an excellent reputation for thai food - both in dining and take-aways. Guest access Follow the small sign on the road and you can park your car right next to the hut. The key will be in secure key box ready for you to start enjoying and relaxing our hut. Other things to note There is a comfortable double bed and we provide a travel cot if you wish to bring that 3rd person.
