The Little Barn, log fired luxury

Whether you want to curl up by the log fire, visit stately Belvoir Castle, walk the canal paths or visit the decadent Chocolate Cafe, you will come back to a stylish, comfortable newly converted little barn. It has a kitchen with Neff combi oven, induction hob, small fridge freezer, breakfast bar and Franke belfast sink. Upstairs to bespoke double bed and en-suite shower room. Bedroom and downstairs sitting room have french windows. Fast internet via cat6 cable to router make remote working easy The space The little barn was once the sorting office for the old post office ( which is now the main house ) and was converted into guest accommodation in 2023. It is built over two floors and has a living room and open plan kitchen with breakfast bar. The stairs have bespoke cast iron railings and balustrade in keeping with the agricultural feel of the building. The bedroom holds bespoke reclaimed pine furniture including a double bed and dressing table/storage rail. Bed linen is White Company. Four pillows, two soft, two firm, so mix and match to your heart's content. The duvet and the soft pillows are hungarian goose down. The en-suite shower room is small but has a good sized electric shower, wash basin and low level toilet. There is an electric toothbrush charger and shaver point. Bedside sockets have USB charge points Outside there is a small patio planted up with tree ferns and a water feature. Slate round table and chairs provide a peaceful place to eat or enjoy a glass of wine. Guest access The Little Barn has its own driveway at the back of the house, and is accessed through a wooden gate built into the wall. There is a key safe holding the key to the barn by the side of the gate. The gardens are walled and completely enclosed. They are made up of three main areas. The main courtyard is primarily for me and my family when they visit, but you are welcome to join us for coffee/wine during your stay. The greenhouse courtyard is a shared space, come and go as you please and the little patio is intended for your own use. Other things to note Please, no candles!! I supply one basket of logs and kindling per night, which should last the evening. If you do need more, you are welcome to bring your own or buy from the garage. I have a small friendly dog who likes to say hello if you are both in the garden at the same time. He does not use the garden as a toilet. If you prefer not to interact with him just let me know and I will contain him in the main courtyard.
