Cozy Cabin in the Woods

Just under two hours from Chicago and only 1/2 mile from Hagar Beach, this beautifully updated 100-year-old cabin offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. Surrounded by tranquil landscapes and towering trees, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Tucked along a quiet dirt road, the cabin is ideally located 15 minutes from South Haven and 10 minutes from St. Joseph making it close enough for dining, shopping, and activities, yet far enough to unwind in nature’s calm. The space This cabin offers one bedroom with a queen size bed and a cozy living room with a full size memory foam mattress on a pull out bed. You’ll love the modern style of the recently renovated bathroom. Enjoy the outdoors while grilling some dinner on our large deck, sitting out by the fire pit under the stars, or rinsing off after a day at the beach at the seasonal outdoor shower. Our cabin has a kitchenette equipped with a sink, microwave, stove top warmers, pizzazz pizza oven, air fryer, coffee maker and a fridge. This cabin is perfect for couples, small families, or a small group of friends. During your stay, you’ll enjoy the many perks of Southwest Michigan including parks, beaches, wineries and breweries, fruit picking, and fishing or kayaking down the Paw Paw River. -10 minutes to St Joe -15 minutes to South Haven -10 minutes to Paw Paw Lake -45 minutes to Notre Dame Stadium Guest access You’ll have the whole house and yard to yourself. Other things to note The outdoor shower is seasonal and generally functioning from May - September. This is a cabin-in-the-woods experience, so with the wonderful comforts and our diligence to thoroughly clean our space after every guest, you may still occasionally see a bug or two due to the heavy woods we sit next to, particularly in the spring season. SUMMER NOTE: Please note that the AC is window units on the main level (one in the living room and one in the bedroom). While they do a pretty good job for that level, there is no AC for the loft and it can get warm up there (we do have a few small fans up there to help). WINTER NOTE: Our neighborhood outside of Lake Michigan is made up of gravel/dirt roads and we do not have snow removal provided for our gravel parking area. This can require vehicles with four wheel access in the winter due to snow. The streets leading from town to the cottage may be difficult to drive through during large storms until crews can clear them. There is a shovel available for you to clear a path on the deck to the front door (we’ll do our best to keep that clear but if it snows in the time period leading up to your arrival, you may have to do a small bit of snow removal to clear a short path on the deck).
