We have been hosting guests in the local community for over 50 years, so we can always help make your U.P. adventures pleasant. Cabin is close to the road. The space Historic cabin, originally built in the 1940s. This old resort has been maintained and upgraded by our family for 4 generations, and can provide you with a comfortable and rustic experience of the U.P. Reminder this property is a big more rustic and in the Upper Peninsula. Guest access Guests have full access to grounds. 9 acres with 200ft of frontage on Lake Independence. Other things to note Winter Season: it is best to have a 4x4 vehicle. We keep the driveways clear with a huge snowblower on our tractor, but parking is limited, and certain weather conditions can make navigating the driveways in a 2-wheel drive car challenging. Some of our permanent residents drive 2-wheel drive vehicles, but they're used to the conditions. We'll pull you out if necessary, but that's never a fun game on vacation :)
