At the Roman Bridge Cottages - The River - riverside apt

La Riviere is located in part of an old Marble cutting Mill, overlooking an historic Roman bridge on the river, set within 4 acres of private grounds with access to a shared swimming pool in the foothills of the stunning Les Montagnes Noires. A short walk from Caunes-Minervois, a small but vibrant Medieval village with many amenities, only 30 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Carcassonne & the picturesque towns & villages alongside the Canal du Midi in the heart of Wine Country The space La Riviere is our biggest unit. You enter via the veranda which has a table and chairs and a day bed. You enter the apartment to an open plan lounge, dining/kitchen space which is bright and airy. To your left is the main bedroom with picture windows which look out onto the patio area. Traverse the lounge/dining space and to your left you have the bunk room and the twin, to the rear of the property is the bathroom. Outside is a large patio area with a table and chairs and a comfortable seating area adjacent to the river. Guest access Each gîte has its own patio area but guests are also welcome to explore our grounds and during the dryer months you are able to walk along our stretch of river. Other things to note Each gîte is supplied with a welcome pack on arrival which includes: Wine, Jam, Bread, butter, Cheese, Milk, Water, Eggs & fruit juice. As standard we also supply: Hand soap Bath, hand & Pool towels toilet paper x4 Washing up liquid, sponge, dishwasher tablets & dishcloth Tea towels Tea, coffee, sugar & herbal teas. We also hold BBQ & Pizza evenings in the Summer months (June-August) for guests to partake in if they wish (subject to an additional fee). It is usually a very convivial evening where we get to chat to and learn more about our guests and encourages all of our guests to interact.
