The Linden Tree - Pigeon Loft

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The Pigeon Loft is a First Floor Apartment which we hope feels like a home away from home. Situated overlooking Vineyards which gently slope down to the Klipdrif River. The sunsets are spectacular on this side of town. What better way to wind down with a Sundowner on the Deck. Feel free to wander down to our Potager Garden, where we grow seasonal veggies and the chickens roam. Or sit by our Dam, which is a haven for all kinds of birds. The space The Pigeon Loft is situated on the First Floor and comprises a modern open plan lounge, diner and fully equipped kitchen. There is one large bedroom with ample storage and a plush Queen Size Bed. A Navy Sofa Bed* in the living area converts easily to a double bed which could comfortably accommodate one adult or two children. All bedding supplied. *(Alternatively if you are two couples, book our other unit directly below on the ground floor, 'The Pigeon Nest', which accommodates two people in a Twin Room with ensuite. Discount applies if booking both units.) The bathroom has a full bath and separate large walk-in shower, with basin and toilet. French doors open onto a wooden deck, which overlooks the vineyards,with a six seater table and chairs. A great place to eat breakfast or enjoy a Sundowner after a busy day. First Floor Access via outdoor steps with its own private entrance. Free Secure Parking. Free Wifi. Solar Electricity and Geyser. (No Loadshedding!!) TV with streaming service. Complimentary Tea and Coffee with homemade Rusks. Sumptuous Feather duvets, soft pillows, plush blankets and electric blankets for those chilly nights. The views are to die for! We overlook the adjacent vineyards belonging to local winery Skipskop, with the Soetmuisberg mountains in the distance. Sunsets are truly breathtaking. The Klipdrift river meanders through the end of our plot and is a lovely place to watch Red Bishops and Weaver birds nesting amongst the reeds. Guest access Your hosts live in the adjacent house and have created a lovely Dam and Potager garden at the back. Take a stroll down through the Lavender paths, pick some fresh veggies and take home some of our Free Range eggs for breakfast. We also have a dedicated garden for guests at the front of the property, with braai facilities and sun loungers. Other things to note The Linden Tree is situated on a gravel road in a residential area. Please take care when driving, as there are few pot holes since the recent flood. Two of the bridges are still out after the recent floods in September, so access to Eskom street is only by turning left at the Astron Energy Garage into Station Road and first right after the bridge into Eskom St. We are the large pale grey house situated almost at the end of this road on the RHS, past the vineyards and just before Trade Street. There is a white gate at the entrance.
