On your drive along the granite coast, you will enjoy a twisty, curvy, beautiful drive through the mountains, alongside the ocean, passing authentic fishing villages until you reach the very last on Route 470, our town of Rose Blanche. This stay is ideal for couples, individuals and adventurers who love hiking, the ocean and history of NL. The original settlement home built in the late 1800's is long gone ss the needs of the community and harbourfront changed. The last rebuild was i954 with a store immediately next door that the Best family managed for generations. Over time, the house and store sat empty until in 2012, the late Lynn Sawford, an artist from Ontario, visited and fell in love with the uniqueness of this small fishing community. She purchased the property and changed the abandoned family home into a bed and breakfast, and the store into an art studio and tea room. Since 2013, this home has hosted artists and travelers from far around the world. As the proud owners since 2023, we are grateful to continue welcoming one and all to this unique Newfiundland community. We live onsite and ensure the shared spaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
