You’ll love the sunset views, large living room and kitchen for entertaining and hanging out, pool table, dart board and large yard for games. There’s even a spot to bring your own boat or jet ski and room to park your trailer! IG stay_at_the_lake The space OUTDOOR There is enough parking for your entire group in the private driveway. You have a private acre lot surrounding the home and a lawn perfect for yard games. You will enjoy a large deck off the kitchen. The deck includes a propane grill and propane fire pit for grilling and relaxing while enjoying the lake views. (Propane included) The entire deck and yard is private for you and your guests. You will get an extensive list sent to you after you book your stay, of activities, restaurants and fun things to do in the area! THE LAKE Reach out for boat rentals or to have someone charter a boat for you! The Luxe is directly across the street from Candlewood Lake (the largest lake in Connecticut). You can access the lake from any public entrance. THE HOUSE The house it is a split level style single-family home. When you enter the front door you will get an instant feeling that you’re on vacation with the custom mural that gives Tulum vibes. You can go up about 10 stairs or down about 7 stairs. If you go upstairs, you will be pleasantly surprised by the panoramic lake views of Candlewood Lake, a newly updated kitchen with quartz countertops, a large island, new appliances, live edge dining table, large sleeper sofa, electric fireplace that changes colors, 70 inch smart TV and the strongest wifi available to support your devices. There is a deck directly off the kitchen that has a grill, fire pit and outdoor dining. There’s one full bathroom in the upstairs hallway, that is a standup rain shower. First bedroom on the left has two full-size beds. The second bedroom on the left has two queen size beds. The bedroom on the right is a king size bed with a bathroom attached which also has a standup rain shower. When you go back to the front and go down the stairs you immediately enter the hangout area that has another large gathering area with 3 walls of custom murals, a pool table, dart board and board games, another 70 inch smart TV, and a wrap around bar/hang out area by the pool table. The one bathroom in the hallway is a full bathroom and the only bathroom with a tub. The first bedroom on the left is the bunk room that has a double bed on the bottom, twin bed on the top and then a trundle pull out twin bed. The second bedroom on the left has a king size bed, and a make up desk in the room. The downstairs kitchen is on the right down the hallway. There’s also a back hallway from the kitchen out to the driveway as a separate entrance. We have blackout curtains in every room to ensure your peaceful sleep. All rooms are completely renovated, have brand new furniture and mattresses, a closet, mirror, and hooks for your towels. The home also includes a washer & dryer in the basement. The home is stocked with everything you’ll need during your stay; dishes, cookware, glasses, towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, shower essentials, cleaning products, laundry and dish soap, toilet paper etc. THE LOCATION •1 hour 20 mins from NYC •45 minutes from Westchester County Airport •1 hour 10 mins from Bradley International Airport •1 hour 20 minutes from JFK International Airport WINTER ACTIVITIES: 1. Thunder Ridge Ski Area Patterson, NY (30 mins) 2. Mount Southington Ski Plantsville, CT (45 mins) 3. Mohawk Mountain Ski Areas Cornwall, CT (45 mins) Guest access You will have access to the entire home, deck, private outdoor area and private parking area. ( Garage is excluded) Our other lake rental is 2 houses away. Reach out for info. There is a smart lock on the door for easy, keyless access for the whole group. Other things to note You can rent a boat from a nearby marina. Lakeside Watersports will pick you up and teach you any water activity on the lake! Inquire for more information and a discount. Please note: •Check in is at 4 PM •Check out is at 11 AM •Early check-in or late check out is an additional $100 (if available) •No smoking inside- There will be a $500 smoking fee if smoking of any kind occurs in the home. •Stained linens- There will be a $50 linen fee applied per set if any sheets or towels have to be thrown out if smells or stains cannot be removed. •Cameras -The exterior of the house has camera coverage. This is for your safety and ours. •Please be mindful and courteous to the neighbors. Please limit loud outdoor music. •No tape on the walls. If paint is removed, there will be a $200 fee. RULES: 1) You cannot park at Down The Hatch to use the lake or for additional parking. 2) If we get a complaint from any nearby neighbors, you will be charged an additional fee and asked to leave the rental immediately. We take this very seriously! Please be respectful at all times!! 3) DO NOT throw out your garbage at Down The hatch dumpsters.
