The Cottage at Greyhouse Farms

A serene getaway surrounded by ranch land, cattle, majestic oaks, and the Arenosa creek, accommodations for 3 adult guests. Relax and restore in the native Post Oak Savannah and Coastal Prairie country. Savor the amazing sunrise or sunset from the wraparound porch, a stroll in the park like setting or on a bench at one of the private lakes. Enjoy watching the abundance of wildlife while observing and listening to the birds that live and migrate in the serene environment. The space The cottage is an open concept space with sofa, dining table, and kitchen. A separate bedroom with a queen adjustable bed, a twin bed, writing desk, and washer/dryer. A bath with a large walk-in low curb shower and an on demand hot water heater. It also boasts a galley Kitchen with a full size G.E. electric range with convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, a Keurig coffee bar with a variety of Keurig favorites. A wraparound porch adding plenty of outdoor living. We welcome everyone at Greyhouse Farms and would love to share the park-like setting with you. Anything we can do to make your stay a wonderful experience, please let us know. We live on the property and are available if you have any questions or special needs. All guests must be listed on reservation. Guest access Guests have access to and can walk only the 40 acres of fenced property. This is free-range acreage so guests may encounter cattle and wildlife such as raccoons, possums, rabbits, ducks, armadillos, skunks, foxes, coyotes, wild turkey, deer, wild hogs, and/or variety of birds and snakes. For protection of wildlife habitat, please do not interact, disturb, or touch flora and/or fauna. There is a fire pit available if burning is allowed. There is ample parking. If planning on making a trip to the bay, boats are allowed with prior approval. Absolutely no smoking or vaping at the cottage or anywhere on the property. Other things to note Location is: 15 minute drive to Edna or Victoria, Texas Within 20 miles of some favorite spots for: •Bird watchers such as Texanna Loop Mustang Creeks Recreation area Brackenridge Park Lavaca/Navidad Estuary Devers Creek Park • Wine enthusiasts such as Lavaca Bluff Vineyard and Winery and Gulf Breeze Winery • Fishing/boating enthusiasts such as Lake Texanna, Port Lavaca’s Six Mile Park and Fishing Pier .Approximately 1 hour to Historical Goliad, Gonzales, and Texas Southwind Vineyard & Winery. Approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours from Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Corpus Christi. Absolutely no smoking or vaping allowed at the cottage or anywhere on the property. Guests have access to 40 acres of fenced acreage only. There is an abundance of wildlife such as raccoons, possums, rabbits, armadillos, skunks, ducks, foxes, coyotes, wild turkey, deer wild hogs, bob cats, cattle, and/or variety of birds and snakes. Please do not interact, disturb, and/or touch flora and/or fauna. Dogs may not chase any animals or wildlife and must be on a leash, supervised at all times. Quiet time must be observed for the benefit of wildlife.
