The Bell House: Grand Victorian with Pool/Hot Tub
This beautiful old lady is called The Bell House and is perfect for your next family gathering or getaway! She has tons of outdoor living spaces, oversized rooms to ramble around in, and a 30ft saltwater pool (May-Sept) and small hot tub to relax in. Your stay can be romantic, relaxing, or maybe even a little spooky depending on your mood! **NOTE**: There is NO CLEANING FEE and check out is at noon to make things stress free when you leave. 15% discount if you book 7+ nights. Built in 1886 by a couple from Charleston during Chester's railroad boom days, the home is in the distinctive Charleston style and even has a piazza (a 50 foot covered balcony running the length of the house). The home has 12 foot ceilings, lovely plasterwork, and its original heart pine floors. The grand curved staircase leads you up to the three oversize bedrooms with plenty of space to relax or work remotely. Please note that because of its age the home may not be suitable for very young children, and all children should be supervised. Our entire home is available for your use with the exception of a few storage areas. You can even access the balcony from each of the bedrooms! Please note that-- while children are allowed-- the space is really not set up for very little ones. The stairs have their original low railings and everything is old and wonky. Please use your own discretion when deciding if our weird old house will be safe enough for your family! My husband and I will be available throughout your stay. You may message me at any time. Chester is a sweet little town that is currently experiencing a bit of a renaissance. Our home is walkable to the little downtown area where you can bargain hunt or grab a drink and a bite to eat. Chester has a rich history dating back to the Revolutionary War, so it's fun to ramble around the town enjoying the historic architecture and Southern charm. United States history buffs will love seeing Burr rock (yes THAT Burr for Hamilton fans) or the Civil War cannons downtown. Chester even has a lovely state park five minutes from the house where you can have a picnic by the lake, fish, or rent a kayak or pedal boat. If you're willing to venture farther afield, Historic Brattonsville is a short drive away, along with whitewater rafting in Great Falls and tons of other outdoor activities. Our home is 25 minutes from Rock Hill and an hour from Charlotte, so you can enjoy small town living and still have access to all the amenities a large city can offer. Our home has ample parking for all your guests. We can easily accommodate 4-5 cars in our driveway with plenty of room to maneuver. The pool is available for use as long as the weather allows. You should be able to comfortably use it from mid May through the end of September. Our hot tub is of the small inflatable variety (2-4 people) and is available year round.
