With a tiny bit of planning guests have an up close and personal experience of the curious but gentle and wildly adorable alpacas that inhabit the ranch as well as their companions, the sweet and fluffy merino sheep. These glorious fiber producing critters are the mainstay of the ranch and while overall, they mind their own business; they serve as an ongoing attraction that has proven to be a visitor favorite. Don't worry though; guests wont be asked to perform any of the ongoing tasks related to their care! But simply enjoy their presence and the wildly pristine surroundings they inhabit. The owner lives adjacent to the offered space and is available to meet any reasonable needs of the guests. Our goal is to provide a simple quiet beautiful option for folks to see and experience ranch life in a comfortable well appointed home while enjoying the outrageous beauty and legacy of the wet mountains surrounded by the four legged critters that share the space. The ranch is on the "west side" of the valley in an expansive area dedicated to ranches and ranch life. Minimum acreage size is 80+ acres. There are no immediate neighbors. The land is quite open, private and offers expansive views of the area on all sides. Opportunities for enjoyment abound in the valley. Town is a short 7 minute drive (<4 miles on paved roads). Willow Wind has taken special care to gather and offer information for local attractions and eateries to our guests. There is a small display space that offers numerous items either produced directly from fiber at the farm (high quality blended yarns)(End products woven or knit from the yarn) as well as other products grown and produced right here in the US.
