A shallow reef surrounds our beach, breaking waves before they arrive at the shore. This makes it one of the calmest beaches on the North coast of the island. There is a safety marker located ~100 feet from shore; there are no public life guards; we recommended consulting a tide chart or talking with locals to understand when the water is lowest.
