Description

Experience a one-of-a-kind luxury cabin that backs up to thousands of acres of secluded dunes - all the way to Lake Michigan! Step out your door and into a world of hiking, biking, sunbathing, kayaking, and more! Disembark from your private dock on Little Black Lake! Let off some steam in the custom-built cedar sauna! Enjoy the views from the deluxe hot tub! Sizzle your toes at night by the fire pit! Pet the deer? :) Where else can you do so much from your doorstep? Let's go on an adventure! The space TOUR OF THE CABIN ---MAIN LEVEL--- *The PJ Suite*: Master suite with spacious, walk-through closet into the laundry room. King bed. Stained-glass natural light streams in from high above. Smart TV. Sleeps 2. Kitchen: Top-end Kitchenaid downdraft range, All-Clad stainless steel and non-stick cookware. Many appliances and conveniences. Cook with lake views! Hearth: Living room with whole-house audio controls, smart TV, and a couch so big you will be tempted to invite your friends. ---UPPER LEVEL--- *The Sunset Room*: Cozy, shared room with king and queen beds. Beautiful high windows let you sleep in and wake just when the day is feeling happy. Sleeps 4. *The Bunker*: Two sets of twin bunk beds completely perfect for pillow fights and late night shenanigans. Sleeps 4. Balcony: The hangout spot everyone will fight over. Amazing, high views of Little Black Lake, not to mention a TV and - everyone' s favorite - a foosball table. ---LOWER LEVEL--- *The Sunrise Room*: Private suite and the most secluded destination in the main cabin. Plenty of space for yoga, board games, and writing the next great American novel. Sleeps 2. ---OUT BACK--- *The Treehouse*: A loft, studio apartment, not really a treehouse, but truly up among the trees. Charming, rustic, antique. (Be the first one to find and flip the power on! You will know what I mean when you see it.) Queen and twin beds up in loft beyond the trap door! Day bed can be converted to twin bed for sleep. Full bathroom and mini kitchen. No A/C but is shaded and usually does not get above mid-70s even in late Summer. Two fans there, more in garage if needed. Yes, this can sleep four which, when combined with the cabin, would total sixteen. However, I can only approve twelve guests due to township ordinance. WINTER WARNING: The Treehouse will be winterized when the temperatures fall low enough, so it will not be available to guests from late fall to early spring depending on weather! ADVENTURES Lake Michigan: Arguably the most beautiful of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan is only a mile hike from your backdoor through the much-adored PJ Hoffmaster State Park! Enjoy one of the longest and most glorious stretches of uninterrupted, golden sand and freshwater in the world! Little Black Lake: A quiet, shallow lake - perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding! The outer rim of the lake is decorated with lily pads. The center is a large sandbar about 2-3 feet deep - perfect for children to swim! To reach it, you need to take one the vessels out and anchor it while you play. Plenty of geese, ducks, swans, clams, and bluegill! Hiking: Your backyard totals 1,800 acres of protected Great Lakes wooded dunes! Get lost! Not really. We need you here. Seriously, though, you could spend all day out there and love every minute. Hike at least a little every day. You will sleep well and probably live a little longer. US-35 Bicycle Route: Your cabin is on one of the best bicycle routes in the Great Lakes region! The most adventurous members of your party can bike to some of Michigan's greatest vistas right from your front door! (Several adult bikes and helmets await your adventure in the garage!) Other Ideas: There is so much to explore from your cabin! Ottawa Sands County Park, Lake Harbor Park, Mona Lake, Grand Haven Pier, Rosy Mound, Muskegon Lake, Pere Marquette, Muskegon State Park... All of these are so close you can almost smell them on the wind! AMENITIES Dock: Your very own dock on Little Black Lake. Two 3-person kayaks, one canoe, one stand-up paddle board. (Fishing gear not included - yet. Working on it!) Hot Tub: Steamy and bubbly, big enough for four or so, depending on how cozy you feel. Beautiful views of Little Black Lake! Sauna: Hand-built cedar yurt sauna in the backyard. Smells amazing inside. Seats up to 4. Fire Pit: The best way to spend the evening. Best views of Little Black Lake from the house. Hammocks: A well-deserved end to your hike. Also a perfect place to show your support for whoever is grilling. Your cabin will have many other things to aid in your adventures, including: beach towels, chest cooler, all-terrain wagon for hauling to the beach, two grills, basketball, camping chairs, life jackets, fans, bug spray, and sunblock! Guest access The entire main house is yours! The "treehouse" loft is above the workshop out back. The workshop is where the elves build and repair things, so that part is off-limits. Everything else is yours! Other things to note Handicapped guests would have a hard time at the cabin. Stairs are required to reach the main and upper levels as well as the treehouse.
