Welcome to Tea Moon, our newly renovated Bed & Breakfast in the picturesque Kyoto countryside. Tea Moon was created by the founder of d:matcha, an acclaimed organic single-origin matcha brand, to teach travelers about tea farming and the beauty of the Kyoto region. Each stay includes farm-to-table breakfast and dinner at the d:matcha cafe. Guests who stay tea moon can get free slots in our tea farm tour and tasting, Wazuka Kyoto (starts at 9:30~) offered on airbnb experience. The space Tea Moon overlooks d:matcha’s organic tea fields and is next to the historic Hakusan Shrine. The d:matcha team renovated a traditional Japanese house with modern appliances and amenities in 2023, while keeping its historic exterior. Tea Moon guests can enjoy two bedrooms with western-style queen beds, a fully equipped kitchen, tatami mat sitting room, and Japanese-style soaking tub. Other things to note Farm-to-table meals are included in the price of your booking. Meals are served in the d:matcha cafe overlooking the rolling green tea fields. Breakfast includes eggs, sausages, homemade pastries, and organic single-origin tea. Tea themed lunch are served after the tour and multi-course dinners often include local vegetables, Omi wagyu beef, local deer steak, rice from the d:matcha farm, and desserts made from our tea plants. Sample menus are available in the images. All meals feature ingredients from local farmers and can be adjusted based on dietary restrictions.
