Wildflower Cottage Retreat sits on a private 2 acres surrounded by trees and wildlife in an area just minutes from Roche Harbor and Westcott Bay and only 15 minutes from Friday Harbor. Roche Harbor is an short bike ride away. Westcott bay is even closer and offers fresh local oysters for you to shuck yourself or on the grill. The great room has luxury vinyl plank flooring, vaulted ceiling and large picture windows and skylight that let in lots of natural light. Relax on the sofa and loveseat, read a book across from the electric fireplace for that calming ambiance or enjoy family time watching a movie on the 55" flat screen television with satellite service. The partially covered deck is a great place to relax from a days' adventure or to enjoy the serenity of the surroundings which include beautiful madrona, fir, and evergreens and abundant wildlife such as deer, eagles, and fox. Play some yard games – corn hole(plenty of room to play this on the deck), badminton, bocce ball and croquet – on the lawn off the deck. The deck picnic table offers seating for 6. Two Adirondack chairs are on the deck for relaxing around the propane fire pit table. There is also a propane BBQ. There are plenty of games and puzzles to play inside when it's too chilly to be outside or to just enjoy the indoor space. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen was recently updated with new stainless appliances and granite countertops. There is both a traditional coffee maker and coffee press as well as a Keurig. The dining area has seating for 6 and there is also bar seating for 3. There is plenty of space to enjoy board games or to work on a puzzle. If you can’t unplug, the home does have wireless internet service and offers good cell phone reception for most carriers. One thing to note...The listing states "10 minutes walking distance to a lake." This information was entered into my listing by google and there is no way to change it. Wildflower Cottage Retreat is not 10 minutes walking distance to a lake. The cottage offers 3 bedrooms with well-appointed sleeping for 6. An additional queen size blow up air mattress is available upon request for a 7th guest.(plenty of room to set up in the primary bedroom or living room) Extra guest fee(7th guest) is $100.00 per night. The large master bedroom has a master bath and a comfy king size bed. The master has luxury vinyl plank flooring and is furnished with a king size bed with a luxurious pillow top mattress. There is also a desk with chair for a workspace. The attached full master bath is stocked with plush linens, shampoo and conditioner, and soaps. The hall bathroom is stocked the same. Both bathrooms have a tub/shower combo. sink and toilet. The other two bedrooms are each furnished with very comfortable queen beds and new, quality bedding. Just a 5 minute drive to Roche Harbor Resort and 15 minutes to Friday Harbor, Wildflower Cottage Retreat is conveniently located to dining, shopping, marina, for Roche Harbor Resort guests and open to the public, you, (day pass purchased at pool, which is seasonal so be sure to check if it's open during your stay), tennis courts, and the spa located at the resort; miles of hiking trails- Mt. Young, and around British Camp National Park,(some of my favorites) and many more found on the All Trails app. The Frisbee golf course is within walking distance and Reuben Tarte Park where many launch kayaks as well as shore fish is close by. Wildflower Cottage Retreat is in a forest like setting with trees to shade the cottage during the warmer time of the day. You will see deer and possibly fox come into the yard. Wildflower Cottage Retreat is in a quiet neighborhood so please be respectful of the neighbors. While traveling it is often difficult to anticipate what the accommodations will consist of when you arrive. At Wildflower Cottage Retreat every effort has been made to provide an inviting “home away from home”. I have not skimped during the process of supplying the home with sundries, kitchen/ household items, appliances, and cookware. The home is meticulously cleaned and all bedding is laundered between bookings. You can feel confident that every effort will be made to make sure your stay is a pleasant and safe experience!
