Cottage in an old farm

Would you like to get back to your roots, to spend a convivial moment with your family or friends? The gîte of the Ferme du Rougequeue awaits you all year round. From 2 to 6 people, come and discover our practices, taste our good products and visit the Drôme and the Ardèche for a weekend, a week or more. A fair tourism to support organic, sustainable and ecological agriculture, to discover biodiversity and to make beautiful encounters. The space With a capacity of 2 to 6 people, our 85m2 gite is located in the farmhouse, next to our main accommodation. It has an independent entrance. On the ground floor there is a large living room (tv, dvd player) with a fully equipped kitchen area (fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, hotplates, oven...). On the first floor there is a double bedroom (bed 160*200), a small living room with a sofa bed for 2 persons (140*190), bathroom (balneo shower) and separate toilet. On the mezzanine there are two single beds (90*190) and a sofa corner. The outdoor area, shared only with us, is equipped with a table, parasol, deckchairs, table tennis, trampoline for the children and a swing. You will have a view of our gardens and the Vercors mountain range. From October 1 to April 30 there is an electricity package included: €5/night. The additional cost is the responsibility of the tenant. From May 1 to September 30, electricity is included in the nightly price. Guest access You have access to the whole gite. It is located next to our accommodation but has a separate entrance. Other things to note All year round you will have access to the good eggs of the farm and to our jams, syrups, soups, etc. Organic and made with love. In season, you will find good organic vegetables and fruit at the farm market. It will even be possible to pick your own strawberries and vegetables at certain times! By bike, we are between two cycle tracks: the ViaRhona on one side and the Véloroute V63 (the Belle Via) which goes to Grenoble and Chambery. The Dolce Via of the Eyrieux Valley in the Ardèche is 25 kilometres away. We have everything you need to repair your bike if you want to stop on your way and you can chat to Alain who has cycled around the world for 4 years! During your stay, you will be able to watch the farm's activities, discover our agro-ecological installations and other actions for biodiversity, watch the birds and maybe even see the badgers. From the farm, you can walk through the orchards and join the Chemin des Carrier, a discovery trail around Chateauneuf-sur-Isère that will take you from the Chatelard hill (Natura 2000 area) to the troglodyte houses near the Isère river. By bike or by car you can reach Valence, Romans or even Tain, Tournon l'hermitage, Guilherand Granges, Saint-Peray... Around the farm, many tourist activities are possible, according to your desires: For gastronomic discoveries, you can try the different starred restaurants of the region: (Anne-Sophie Pic, Les Cèdres...). You can also visit the Cité du Chocolat de Valrhona in Tain l'hermitage, or taste the wines of Jaboulet, Chapoutier and other wine makers of the region (Cotes du Rhone, Hermitage, Saint Peray, Saint Joseph, Cornas...). You will be able to taste the Pogne, the Saint-Genix, the Suisse, the ravioles... For nature activities, numerous hikes or mountain bike rides, climbing sites, canoeing or swimming spots are available: In the Vercors, in the Ardèche, on the Drôme river, in the Royans, in the Eyrieux valley... For cultural visits you can discover the Museum of Valence, the Shoe Museum in Romans, the famous Ideal Palace of the Facteur Cheval in Hauterives, the tower of Crest and further on the Chauvet Cave in Ardèche.
