Bear Run-Rustic Cabin Feel with Modern Amenities
Take it easy at this unique & tranquil getaway. Or, if you want fun and excitement in the PA Wilds, this is the place for you. 1.2 miles to Left Asaph entrance, a mountain biker's and hiker's paradise of trails, trees and flowing creeks; 1.7 miles to Blue Run Rocks, a trail leading to rocks for the climber in all of us. Just over 5 miles to Beechwood Lake, stocked by the PA Fish and Game Commission for trout season. Just up the road from Pine Creek & Rails to Trails. Bear Run has it all. Bear Run is a rustic cabin with all of the modern amenities. There is a king bed downstairs in the main bedroom, a full bed upstairs in the loft and a fold-down futon for that extra guest. A coffee station in the kitchen provides coffee, tea and all of the fixings. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make all of your meals, except the food. The TV in the living has Roku for lots of free TV viewing. Wi-fi is provided via fiber optic cable so connection is not a problem. The cabin is heated and cooled by a mini-split that keeps a consistent comfortable temperature. There is a washer/dryer in case your outdoor activities get you dirty, which considering the many activities there are to do in the area is likely. You can sit on the porch and watch the birds in the trees or sit out back by the firepit. You can cook inside or grill outside. Bear Run is cozy, comfortable and rustically chic. Come stay and enjoy some fun in the PA Wilds. We are but a phone call away; we live within an hour's drive of the property and are available on an as-needed basis. This is an area filled with cabins sitting amidst the forest. Laurel Crest is a dirt road that dead ends a bit past Bear Run. One can ride ATVs in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. Wildlife is abundant. Bear Run sits back from the road in a clearing and in summer is barely visible so privacy is assured. Bear Run is off the beaten path. In winter, 4WD or all-wheel drive is a must have. Shin Hollow, the main road off Route 6, is a dirt road as is Laurel Crest. Both can be somewhat rough so drive with caution.
