Come with friends to hike, kayak, or tube down the river, or come with your loved one for a much-needed romantic getaway! This single-level home offers one king room with an ensuite bathroom, as well as two queen rooms (shared bathroom)! The kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary items to prepare delicious meals! The welcoming living area features a cozy electric fireplace and plenty of seating. Start the day with coffee and/or breakfast outside while admiring the unique views of the New River. As the wonderful summer night temperatures dip here in the mountains, enjoy the views and tranquility by a fire. Nearby must see attractions include: Elk Shoals River Access - less than a mile away and includes a beach, hiking, and canoe/kayak/tubing access! Ashe County Cheese - see cheese being made and enjoy delicious ice cream! Molly Chomper Cidery Ashe County Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am to 1pm from April to October! Mount Jefferson State Park - great place for family photos. Stunning views! Grayson Highlands State Park - 45 minutes away. Excellent hiking with scenic views, more than 5,000 feet in elevation. See wild horses! Old Barn Winery - Live music, yoga classes, food trucks, perfect atmosphere! Enjoy a sunny day on the New River using Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Public put-in locations are nearby, as well for those bringing their own kayaks! Additional Notes: - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. - Towels and linens will be provided for you. - AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months. - Firewood may be purchased with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night. Payment will be collected through the airbnb resolution center. • Check in is after 4pm • Checkout by 10am • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. • No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. Keep outside noise respectable. • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter- it is your responsibility to come prepared for winter weather. No refunds are given if you are not prepared for winter weather. • Guest is responsible for any damages caused by intentional (non-accidental) actions. • Host is not responsible for items left in the home. • Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions sent by Host (property manager) within 60 days of arrival. • Firewood: You may purchase firewood for the outdoor firepit from us and have it delivered prior to your arrival. This service requires one-week notice prior to arrival, no exceptions. The cost for firewood is $25 per night, plus 7% tax. Each night purchased includes 2 small bundles (each bundle contains 6-8 pieces of wood) and 1 fire starter log. There is no refund for unused firewood.
