The space You have the choice in this room of having a king bed or 2 twin beds. You can stargaze from your pillows and have magical sky views in the early morning through sleepy eyes. The room looks south towards the Twenty Valley and the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bruce Trail, Canada's longest and oldest continuous footpath runs along the edge of the escarpment. I am willing to drive hikers to the start of their hike so that they can hike to their car and drive back at the end of the day. We have 2 more bedrooms that will accommodate 5 more people. The Escarpment Room and the Red Squirrel Room. We are on the Twenty Mile Creek and there is a bike, canoe, kayak and even a dragon boat rental marina just down the road by the strawberry farm. You could paddle to Harbour Estates Winery, dock and then follow the wooden carvings, guiding you along the path to their winery! There are different bike routes and bike maps to take you through the countryside visiting wineries and parks. And the Greater Niagara Circle Route and the Welland Canal Parkway allow you to bike away from traffic. We are only 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls and a stunning hike in the Niagara Glen. This is where Niagara Falls fell 8,000 years ago before it continued on its path of eroding the gorge. Imagine flipping a switch that shut off the falls, and then waving a magic wand to add trees, ferns, wildflowers to the dramatic landscape. You can hike through the ancient plunge pools and see potholes and discover ant lions, tulip trees and rare ferns such as the walking fern. I own a company called Niagara Nature, Wine & Garden Tours so could guide you if you wanted a naturalist along! During your stay This is my home so I am here to welcome my guests and to interact as much or as little as they would like me to. They just have to let me know which! Other things to note Golden Retriever Willow and I welcome pets into our home with a $35.00 fee per animal, per night, (unless things go well, then just a one time fee of $35.00 per animal) but you must contact me about it to make arrangements for your pets sleeping arrangements. I was an animal nurse long ago so would love to hang out and "babysit" your pet if I'm around in the evening. If we babysit during the day there is an additional $35.00 fee per animal.
