For the price of a private room, enjoy an entire tree-shaded home with front porch and courtyard. You would share with myself, a writer, and my cat. The space A renovated 1920s Fremantle bungalow; full of light. All rooms have ceiling fans for extra cooling, but as ceilings are high and walls are thick, as in the tradition of this heritage listed building, this is a cool house to reside in summer. Many rooms can also be opened up to invite the outside in. This home sits amongst birds, trees and dappled sunlight. Central Fremantle is only ten minutes away. As is many other attractions: cafes, bars and restaurants, the Swan River, Leighton Beach, the George St cafe-restaurant precinct. Sleep in an extremely comfortable queen-sized bed with Sheridan linen sheets. Every detail has been considered to make your stay comfortable. The bedroom is large; perfect for holiday stays, creative retreats or those in other work/life transits. There is a large bathroom with artwork - hard to photograph. A modern bright kitchen with all mod cons. A dining room. A lounge that opens out to an external courtyard table with shade. In the morning the front porch is also a lovely setting to wake up with your coffee (or other), and watch the birds fly through the trees. It is like an outdoor aviary. The front lawn is also a lovely sitting and reflecting option, especially beneath the canopy and long afternoon shade of the Chinese Elm and eucalyptus. As a writer, in the end stretches of a PhD, Im often in my study beavering away. Guest access You are able to access the full area of this home: the modern kitchen and dining, lounge, rear courtyard, front porch, lounge in shade on the front lawn. The laundry is also available for use. During your stay I will meet you and provide you with a tour of my home, where things are, how things work. I'm will certainly be available when needed and also to provide you with local food, cafe and other local logistical tips.
