Secluded Romantic Cottage

This is a cozy cottage with a seasonal 2 person hot tub (running again April 1st ) tucked away at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by hundreds of acres of NYC State land with a hiking trail leading through forests and meadows with stunning views. Pets are welcome, ( $ 25 pet fee ) please let us know what dog breed you are bringing. Perfect location for a work-from-home alternative, with high-speed internet (100mbps/15mbps) or a vacation get-a-way. Please no hunting inquiry. The space There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a comfortable sleeping couch in the main room. Spacious porch. Wood burning stove, central heat and air conditioning. Other things to note We are the only neighbors, 500 feet from the cottage. In the winter, an all wheel or 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended. Please let us know what dog breed you are bringing. Please note there is a $25 pet fee. One time fee, not per pet. Ad pet in the “guest” option, that ads automatically the pet fee. Ticks are a know and common nuisance everywhere in the Catskills and even more so in the Hudson Valley and CT. Please make sure that you and your pet wear appropriate tick protection when you are outside. No Hunting inquieres. The bedroom has a queen 10in medium gel memory foam mattress. Please be aware that there will be a possibility of a power outage at the cottage and throughout our immediate area of Delaware County during your stay. Unfortunately this happens frequently when power lines come down during high winds, heavy rain and from significant wet snowfall. On average, once the power is out it takes the electric company NYSEG about eight hours to restore power. However there have been times when the power has been out for more than 48 hours. If an outage does happen the cottage is prepared with a small back-up Ecoflow battery which will run the internet, charge phones and laptops, run the coffee maker, an induction cook plate and a few lights for about 48 hours. There is also a wood stove that will easily heat the cottage. Note that we will not be able to refund any booking costs if the power goes out durning your stay. A hiking trail begins directly on the property and leads through miles of NYC environmental protected land, forests and meadows. Belleayre Ski Center is 35 minutes away, Plattenkill Ski Center about 40 minutes. The Hot tub is not available in the Winter. It will run again April 1st. - November 2nd.
