The space For entry, tap the keypad on the front door and the numbers will light up so you can enter the code I send you prior to check-in. This is an older house, and like any house, it has its quirks. There’s no wired light source in the dining area near the entry so we’ve provided some bright floor lamps for you. That’s only an issue at night though, because during the day the gathering spaces are full of natural light. Bedroom 1 is situated away from natural light for most of the day so illuminating that room can be a challenge so we’ve provided floor lamps in there to brighten it more and encourage our guests to open the curtains during the daylight hours to fill the room with light. While the house is very clean and treated for insects, you will find the rogue bug here and there. These older homes have more places for them to sneak in. The fridge does not make ice, as the kitchen doesn’t have the plumbing for an ice-making fridge. I apologize for any inconvenience that may cause. Circle K, across the street on Main, has ice you can buy. You’ll note there’s imperfections like uneven cabinetry, a door that sticks (the bathroom door rubs against the tile in certain temperatures), some tiny gaps in exterior doors, and a few outlets that aren’t active. Despite these quirks, the house is clean, bright, cozy, comfortable and peaceful. We hope you love to stay there as much as we do. Guest access Everything is available to you except the sheds, pantry between bathroom and bedrooms, and the spaces above the closets. Other things to note During winter, the home’s primary heat source is the gas stove in the kitchen/dining area. The back bedrooms are heated with tip-over safe space heaters. The bathroom can be heated with an outlet space heater but be careful not to hang a towel over it when it’s on as that’s a major fire hazard. During Summer, Bedroom 1 is cooled with a window unit A/C and ceiling fan. Bedroom 2 is cooled with a window AC. The kitchen/dining area is cooled with a portable electric A/C and ceiling fan, and the TV room is also cooled with a window unit AC.
