There are a few important reasons for this—at certain times of year, there may be active hunting seasons in the surrounding area, and the forest is also a natural habitat where wildlife may be nesting or raising their young. We want to make sure everyone stays safe while also respecting the environment. The good news is that there’s a beautiful trail located just across from the driveway that guests are very welcome to enjoy. It’s a great spot for a walk and offers lovely views of the area. There are also lakes and the ocean within a five minute driving or walking distance. Other things to note Birch Tree Abode is a cozy, compact space, slightly larger than a ‘tiny home.’ Please note that storage is minimal, so the space is best suited for guests with light luggage. The stairs, though up to code, are narrow and steep; guests with mobility concerns may prefer another property. The upstairs bedroom has a sloped loft ceiling with a maximum height of 5'10". The bathroom is small and cozy, with a standard sized shower, sink and toilet . The outside deck is completely private, with a sauna (for your use only) attached to the deck . The fenced in deck looks out toward the forest and woodland . No other properties can be seen from the deck or the tiny home . We ask guests to not trespass into wooded area. This land is home to many animals. There are logistics to think of (baby deer and mothers hiding, but also hunting season . There is no stove, oven, or cooking equipment provided (please refer to the ‘amenities’ list for details). Nearby, a flock of enclosed chickens (including cockerels ) may occasionally be heard. The property is located next to a private residence, approximately 100 feet away, there is also a garage nearby and the bunkie shares the land with two other suites. While all spaces are private, they are in close proximity to each other. For the comfort of all guests, smoking of any kind is not permitted on the property. As we are in rural Nova Scotia, occasional wildlife such as ants, Asian lady beetles, and spiders may appear. The property is animal-free, and pets, including cats, dogs, reptiles, and birds, are not permitted. One, free car parking space is allocated to your whole, for your entire stay :) Registration Details STR2627B1995
