Our cabin features an open floor plan and a spacious, peaceful yard. Start your mornings relaxing with a coffee on the dock or head down to launch our complimentary kayaks and paddleboards—there are no stairs required to walk from the cabin down to the shore. Indoors, you’ll find a cozy gas fireplace, comfy couches, and a well-stocked kitchen. The cabin features a premium King bed and a cozy Queen on the main level along with two bathrooms. Upstairs, there is a cozy loft with 3 single beds. Please Note: The loft is accessed via steep stairs called a ship's ladder. It is not suitable for very small children or anyone with physical limitations. Outdoors, spend your afternoons relaxing on the private deck, cooking on the gas grill, and watching the birds. We frequently keep firewood on site for our lakeside fire pit, making it easy to enjoy classic Minnesota summer nights under the stars. Your summer stay requires renting our gorgeous 2023 21' Princecraft Pontoon, equipped with a powerful 115 HP motor and a Humminbird fish finder/GPS. This setup is perfect for hours of fishing, swimming, tubing, or cruising around Cross Lake.Lake Condition Note: Like most Minnesota lakes, Cross Lake gets algae later in the season. We use an aqua-thruster to help blow it away from our dock area, but the absolute best swimming is done directly from the pontoon—simply cruise out to the deeper water and use the swim ladder and back deck! Our location on the northeast corner of Cross Lake connects you to great local spots: You are just minutes away from the amenities of Pine City, local parks, a brewery, and restaurants. If you want a fun day trip on land, the Grand Casino Hinckley is less than a ten minute drive. Pokegama Lake Warning: While the Snake River connects Cross Lake to Pokegama Lake, navigating this route requires skill. We highly advise staying on Cross Lake unless you have extensive boating experience and the water levels are high enough. Other things to note Mid-May to mid-September, the pontoon must be rented with the cabin. To rent the pontoon, you must be over age 27, have a credit card on file, and assume full responsibility/liability. See more in rules. We usually have firewood and propane for the grill, but we do not guarantee it. Tank refills are easy to get in Pine City or you can bring a tank from home if you want to take your propane home with you. Most lakes in Minnesota get some algae and weeds later in the season. We do our best to keep our area clean and sandy by the dock and swim raft. The best swimming is from the pontoon which has a swim ladder and back deck for endless fun. Well water has been tested, softened, and is safe to drink. We have ice trays and a Brita filter for flavor, but there is still a slight mineral taste to the water. Pet fee is for each pet (dogs only). NO PARTIES. No noise after 11pm. No extra guests that aren't on the reservation. There is a $500 fee for breaking these rules. Thank you for understanding.
