Yarrow Shepherd’s Hut - Wood Fired Hot Tub & Sauna

Located at Knowle Meadow Camping, our locally crafted Shepherd's Hut boasts all the comforts you could wish for, including a superbly comfortable double bed, warming log burner, mini-kitchen (gas hob, toaster and fridge) and private Scandi wood-fired hot tub. Yarrow's hedge-enclosed garden has a fire-pit with grill and outside seating, to make the most of the beautiful views. Access to the shared Scandinavian barrel sauna is included. The shared washrooms, a stone’s throw away, are exquisite. The space Yarrow is a cozy and welcoming space, the perfect escape to the countryside. Enjoy a book by the fire, watch the sunset from the wood-fired hot tub, and wander through the wildflower meadows. Fresh coffee, tea and sugar are also included. A small store of logs is included, sufficient to heat the hot tub. More are available to purchase from the honest shop. No pets allowed, sorry. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of a hedged garden with outside seating and your own hot tub. Guests are free to explore the meadow at Knowle Meadow Camping and enjoy the shared wood-fired sauna which is open to all guests on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays typically from 5pm until 6pm. The times are displayed on the sauna. The sauna is also available for private hire outside of these times - just ask during your stay or contact us in advance. The site has a swing bench, picnic benches, and all-weather barn with table tennis and games. There is a shared undercover washing-up area, with fridge freezer and microwave. Other things to note Yarrow is situated within Knowle Meadow Camping; an award winning luxury rural retreat. The washrooms and sauna are shared. **For stays from 4 October until end November 2026, you will have exclusive use of the whole site, which means private washrooms! And we’ll arrange a private sauna session for you during your stay!** Yarrow is suitable for 2 adults and isn’t designed for children as guests. The hot tub is filled with fresh water for each guest, with no chemical nasties. The tub is wood-fired and takes approximately 2 hours to get it to temperature. We do offer a pre-heat service, please ask for more details. Only guests on the booking are allowed on site; visitors are not allowed, sorry. The sauna is available for private hire. Late check-out only by prior agreement; charges apply. There is no WiFi, but 4G/5G signal is picked up by most providers. The bed is a comfy standard double. There is a wall at the end of the bed, so it isn’t suitable for those taller than 6ft2! Only one parking space is available.
