This location was home to a Historical Boat Shop owned by Burton Norton who built and restored classic wooden boats next to Cedarville Bay in the early 1900's. The boathouse was built in the 1980's and features living quarters that now comprise the rental available for you to experience. The home is decorated in a nautical theme and there are numerous nautical items, pictures, etc adorning the walls. In addition there is a large number of books and magazines with nautical and other topics. Keeping with the nautical history and theme, the galley (kitchen), heads (bathrooms), and mess (dining nook) areas are compact but functional. In contrast, the living room is open and spacious and very open with the wall of sliding glass windows opening onto the deck providing an amazing view. The rental features panoramic views of the heart of Cedarville Bay and the Les Cheneaux Islands on a 2018 newly renovated channel side Deck! The views from the deck on the third level are magnificent, as can be seen in some of the pictures. The unit is a tri-level with 3 Bedrooms. On the first floor Bedroom 1 has a double bed and two twin beds, bedroom 2 has a double bed, and the bathroom on the first floor has a full bath. On the second floor is the master bedroom featuring a new queen sized bed. The second floor sleeping area off the dining room has a day bed and a full bath on the second floor. Please note that there are spiral stairs in this unit to get to the upstairs living areas. The third story is really only a half story above the second story and is connected by a partial spiral staircase. The Boathouse contains a 30x30 indoor/covered slip for anyone wishing to bring their boat.
